Worth the money, the swivel option give you more flexibility and you can lock it at any position, the PVC magnetic jaw clamps for small piping or painted surfaces work well without scratching, quick delivery..

Spend the few extra dollars on the 8" vise. I have a 4 inch vise and the diffence with this 8" vise is night and day. Of course depending on what you need it for or if you can't lift 40lbs to move it around, you can probably get by with a smaller vice....but why? Just get the biggest one and you won't regret it because the additional mass makes a huge difference. This thing is a beast.

This is very large heavy and strong vice. And as a blacksmith I know what I am talking about. My only criticism is that the handle is too short making it awkward to close or open fast. It needs 100 to 150 mm extra length.

Very large vice, 200mm jaw width, 200mm between jaws , robust flat surfaces to hit things flat,grips things very well, minimal or no machining on sliding or rotating surfaces, relies on light casting tolerances which works OK. I made the effort to machine the bottom plate flat so it sits on the metal work bench flat and the vice rotates better. Below the jaws is a handy grip shape to hold pipe, angle, square section tightly. Overall a quality vice, value for money.

recently bought the brand welding table unbeatable value this vice compliments it as boltholes in table are compatible. by bolting it to corner it swivels 90 dgrs ok for me if you want more go for the big one

Not what I expect from the brand

I have many tools now and I have come to expect pretty good quality when ordering. This vise however was a disappointment. The slide is very sloppy moving from side to side almost 1/2". The crank has a fairly stiff sting preloading it so that it is difficult to open or close the vise by very much. This is more what I would expect from a cheap Harbor Freight unit.

Looks nice. It is a vise only from a distance, worth nothing. The threaded spindle rotates direcly in the threads formed in the casting. No bronze bushing at all ! Nothing. Wall tickness is so thin, that no way you can develop it up for a basic level of vise. If you ever disassemble an old vise, you know what i mean. It is a pity, that for the same money, there are a lot of old vises for sale. Choose an old used one instead.

Quite happy with the vice. Just finished pounding the snot out of it removing a bolt from a bushing sleeve. Not a mark on it, worked great. Recommend.

Quality construction with plenty of holding power. If you have limited space having dual jaws and ability to reverse jaws and pivot 360 makes it invaluable. Having access to anvil is a bonus. But don't forget it's not meant for heavy duty work so don't beat the hell out out it. Use it for the what it was built for and you should have it for a lifetime. Nice tool.

This is an excellent quality vise. It was well packaged and in great condition even though it is very heavy to ship. It came with magnetic protective vise jaws. I had no issues with the template for the bolt pattern, it was a perfect fit to the vise and it came with the fasteners to bolt it down. Excellent purchase!
