Great piece of Hardware

This Mobile base is very heavy duty, well built for any heavy piece of equipment. It was very easy to assemble and adjust to size to fit my table saw. The only complaint I have is that the description states that the lever style feet which makes the unit stationary would lift it by 1/2". In reality, after I tried adjusting the feet, it is only about 1/8" to 3/16" therefor you need a smooth floor. Otherwise, when its being rolled on its casters, the feet could possibly hit the floor or an obstacle.

STURDY AND WELL MADE

A bit challenging to put together. Maker sure you think about the way you want your item to face BEFORE you assemble. If your item has doors (like mine) you need to be certain they can open when you place them on the base. It is surprising easy to move an item around. I bought an electronic paper cutter ( 19" Electric Paper Cutter, Heavy Duty Paper Trimmer) It weighs 300+ pounds when assembled with stand. With this base I can easily move it around my shop. Great purchase. The brand should list this as an add on when you purchase.

Great but for a disappointing "feature" affecting my use

As others note, this is a well-made and reasonably-priced product. However, it has a design detail that makes it a big disappointment *for my purposes* and possibly won't affect your use. Every other mobile base I have has a foot operated lever at each corner just as this one does. However, on the others, when you push the foot down, *the wheels* are lowered to raise the machine off of the stationary feet. This base does just the opposite- pressing the foot lever raises the machine via the stationary feet, and when the levers are lifted, *lowers* the machine onto the four wheels for transport. I have a heavy table saw (Saw Stop ICS) with a 54" extension table that has two legs for table support. I expected I would be able to *lower* the machine onto the roller stand's stationary feet (and hence, the extension's support legs) and *raise* the machine via the wheels which would raise the extension table legs enough for the machine to move. Big disappointment for me that it doesn't work that way. So give this some thought if the item you are moving has any load bearing anywhere other than the roller stand. Rolling shop tool stands

Works well for drill press and bandsaw rolling stand. Just need a sturdy plywood base and a few tools to assemble, seems sturdy and solid. Instructions are useless but not entirely necessary if you have some basic skills.

The base is rated for 600 lbs, but the bolts supporting the caster wheels have bent under the weight of my 450 lbs tablesaw. This makes the casters difficult to spin around. I would not put anything more than 300 lbs on this base.

Well-made design with sufficient capacity. This base was for my heavy 20" Craftsman floor model drill press (took 2 of us to lift and tilt it back to its upright position). Mounting holes didn't line up exactly where I wanted, but I expected that. I welded mine together in lieu of using the supplied bolts.

Great Mobile Base

I purchased this mobile base for my new Jet Drill Press that weighs 282 pounds. I found the base to be heavy duty and constructed and painted very well. The assembly was straight forward and intuitive. I used a piece of 3/4" plywood and bolted it down in the middle of the base and then mounted the drill press on the board. The base has very low clearance and thus minimizes increasing the overall height of the mounted item placed on the base. Love this base and will purchase this unit again for other large /heavy tools.

Overall great - improvements suggested

Just finished putting this together. Instructions were just OK... photos are WAY too small, otherwise ok. Packaging was excellent with all metal parts even bubblerwrapped. The steel components are very well painted and seem very sturdy. The "tires" on the four wheels are not plastic but a "rubbery" material that has some give - thus, the unit rolls smoothly and quietly - very nice movement! Improvements: 1) Better photos in the instructions and 2) plastic or rubber caps to go over the threads of the bolt that serves as an axle for the non-swivelling wheels as they stick out right at ankle level and 3) have a thicker plate for the adjustable floor pads to thread through (the tab on mine has at most 2 threads of engagement that hold all the weight on one end (or maybe weld a nut onto that tab to get more like 5 - 6 threads engaged)) Overall a very solid unit and feels like very high quallity when assembled. Would buy again. (and to help with the minimal thread engagement on the adjutable "feet" you could put the provided locking nut BELOW the table rather than above the tab as show in the instructions)

Nice Heavy Duty Base for my Table Saw

I had a base for my table saw but it wasn't built strong enough. It used 4 metal corner pieces with wheel casters held together with 2x2 lumber. This base is a beast. Easy to put together and very well built. You can adjust the length and width to suit your machine. My table saw weighs about 200 to 250 lbs. This will make it a lot easier to move around in and out of the garage for work around the house.

Worked out great for my planer thicknesses. I was easily able to cut down two of the bars to make it fit my machine.

Mobile base

I use a lot of mobile bases as I like to have wheels on everything tools, shelves, etc. I already owned multiple of the "name brand" bases with the same specs as these and decided to try the version. These mobile bases are almost exactly the same as the "name brand" version with some very tiny differences: The brand is painted black, vs name brand grey, the brand uses lock washers on the bolts, name brand uses nylock nuts, the long rails of the brand have enlongated holes for slightly more fine adjustment of size, name brand has round holes so their size is only in the 1 inch increments. The brand seems to have the same quality of welds. The brand's version is about half the price! Overall very happy and now have multiple of them.

Easy to assemble, it is very robust and also easy to move around. It looks and feels every bit the part of "Heavy Duty." I would purchase this even for much lighter weight equipment, mainly because of the nice build quality.

Really well built especially for the price

This thing is well built and goes together really easily. I like that the levers are on the pads not the wheels. It has some dings and scratches but its for a shop where that's going to happen anyways. I originally bought the orange branded one for double the price. It has a known cam design flaw where it cant even hold 20lbs and new cams are "out of stock" for the next two months. I bought this instead and couldn't be happier as its way nicer and puts $80 back in my pocket.

Good to assemble, but could be improved

It is well made and fairly easy to assemble. I would have created a rectangular square hole guide. E. G between 15.5 and 17 use hole ...That way it would be faster. On a related not it should have either a solid base, or a larger corner support for mounting the base. It can still slide around on top of the support. An alternative would be some large screws that pushed in on all sides of the base using the holes on the 4 sides. I'll probably build something to hold it still. Finally, the base is angled when set up for moving. I would have like to see the design keep it level and raise and lower floor stops, not the whole frame. It works but when you have a 500lb top heavy drill press it's a little never racking to roll it around on an angle.

Ich habe das Fahrwerk für meine Felder AD531 Hobelmaschine gekauft. War etwas skeptisch ob sie für 60€ etwas taugt. Andere Fahrgestelle sind ja deutlich teurer. Das Paket ist heute wie angekündigt gekommen. Alles sehr gut verpackt. Alle Teile sind qualitativ sehr gut. Auch die Rollen machen einen guten und haltbaren Eindruck. Der Zusammenbau war einfach. Von dem Fahrgestell bin ich echt begeistert. Die 400kg schwere Maschine kann jetzt sehr einfach bewegt werden. Bzgl. der Haltbarkeit der Teile mache ich mir keine Sorgen. Auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung!
