25cm Pre-seasoned Cast Iron Tortilla Press

Very Disappointing

This was my first order from the brand, and it has been a disappointing experience. The tortilla press simply does not perform as advertised. It does not press the dough properly or produce the results this product is sold to achieve. A product should be able to perform its basic intended function. This one did not. I would not purchase this again and cannot recommend it.

Almost useless it doesn't press properly leaving the daugh too thick and end up with a 5 inch tortillas instead of a 8 in have to use a roller the end the job

Very Well Made, Perfect Even Press

Strong and very well made tortilla press and roti maker. Presses dough evenly. Spare nuts and washers are also included. I've seasoned my roti maker even as it was preseasoned, just as any other cast iron from time to time to make it extra nonstick even at lower temperatures. The removable silicone handle slips on and off easily, which allows it to cool when roti maker is used for extended period of time on high heat.

Good & bad

Good start for a tortilla if you have a rolling pin to finish it off. Bad for it being a tortilla press. If you want rotis this works fine!

Better than store-bought tortillas

Instead of using the parchment paper to cold-press the tortillas, I heated it on a stove burner so that I could press and cook the tortillas in one operation. I didn't have the temperature and cooking time right for the first two tortillas, but from the third tortilla on I got a perfect tortilla every time. The bonus is that the homemade tortillas have much better flavor than store-bought tortillas, and they aren't laden with all kinds of chemical preservatives. So, if you want good, flavorful, and healthy tortillas instead of the store-bought junk, just buy one of these.

This tortilla press is HEAVY DUTY. The cast iron feels legit and presses tortillas evenly without flexing or wobbling. I originally bought this to use as a pizza dough flattener but I have found it difficult to use for that as the dough is very stretchy and sticks to the paper. I will practice more with letting the dough rest longer and spraying the paper with a light coat of oil to see if that helps when transferring to the baking pan. However, I I have found it great for flattening chicken thighs and breasts. I sprinkle the meat with seasoning and then press it and it fries up beautifully for a grilled chicken sandwich. I’ve also used it to crush garlic cloves and works well for that too. It’s very versatile and heavy duty.

This bad boy can press out tortillas in a snap, flatten naan for cooking...I just might never go back to a rolling pin for either one. I can't wait to see how much stuff I can use with it to speed up the cooking and prep work. Highly recommend buying one.

Much better than expected

I had a tortilla press before that was too small and very flimsy. This one was much larger and it’s very heavy duty. Also a bit heavy. Pleasantly surprised that it came with some parchment paper. It works much better than any that I’ve used in the past and was reasonably priced.

Very solid and well made. Works very well with the following caveat - It works as well as any other press the limitation is the fact that a flour totilla will shrink back as the pressure is released and the doughs natural elasticity takes over. The press does most of the work for you and leaves you with a circular tortilla which is a tad too thick and needs a quick touch up with a rolling pin . It is much much easier than rolling from scratch and a few seconds work will give you the perfect tortilla. The weak point is the rather low quality hinge pin which is best replaced before it needs it.

Does what it's supposed to. It even comes with extra bolts if you happen to brake them. You can use this on stove top, when hot you squeeze and cook at the same time...very fun.

You'll feel like a pro.

For over 40 years, I've been making tortillas by hand. This is a timesaver, easy to use and makes tortillas just as well as rolling them by hand. I'm unable to use it to cook tortillas on my inversion cooktop, so it's used for forming tortillas only. It's was a bonus that this tortilla maker comes pre-seasoned.

Thought it would be better than it is. I've only tried it the once though, but was sure the device would have made the tortillas alot thinner. It just does not seem to squash down thin enough. What I made were the ideal thickness for a pizza base though I had not made bread dough. Will persevere with it though & try different dough mixes.

Excellent Tortilla Press

Considering 10" tortilla presses are well over $35, this press is a fantastic deal. It's heave and it does the job. The parchment paper that comes with it is an added bonus. I am very pleased with this press. It makes the process of flattening tortilla dough a breeze. Definitely worth the money, IMO.

Gday After my experience with the EBay cast iron one that ended up being cast aluminium and broke on the first use. My son was upset that it was a present and so poor. A secound attempt I got a tortilla warmer instead the old eBay check the fine print. That didn’t survive the first wash. Heavy, very well built and came with extra parts not that there is anything that would break.Works great I would recommend getting the 12 inch though.
