NEMA Steel Electrical Box 40x30x20cm, IP66

NEMA enclosure for Outdoors - Works nicely

Solid metal cabinet, sturdy and will work nicely for my PLC application.

Very happy with quality construction

Installed on the backside of my electrical service pedestal. Routed low voltage data service conduits through this box for fiber and Ethernet. Everything was solid and well constructed. Would buy again.

Good value for the price

Pretty good alternative to expensive Hoffman or Hammond eqyuivalents.. Steel is a bit thinner than those brands, but fit and finish are just as good Good value for the price

Mr

Product looks good but in 2 days started getting rust marks at few places. Locking mechanism too tight. Price is a bit too high

get rid of AI

Absolutlely hopeless -- I had a problem with a broken door lock all I wanted was a replacement. 2 days talking with and AI person- no idea what I was talking about. example - I said go to catalogue box description, is there large as life - AI had no hope just repeating the same mantra in a dozen different forms. I gave up in the end - no point in going on. I have spent a lot of money over last couple of years maybe I should start looking for another supplier. What a waste of time -- AIman needs to apply for a real job.

Ottima

Custodia robusta e ben fatta. Ottimo imballo.

Good quality, fair price

Reliable little thing that does exactly what it should. Seals up tight and keeps the dust out. Mounting it on the wall was straightforward. Glad I went with this.

Exactly what I needed

Needed something like this for a while now. Seals up tight and keeps the dust out. The vents do a good job keeping things cool. No issues so far, working as it should. Just what I was after.

No fuss, works well

The quality feels a notch above what I am used to. The finish is clean and looks professional. A solid choice I would buy again.

Well made and reliable

Set it up without any fuss. Feels rugged and should last years outside. Would recommend it.

Does everything I wanted

Good bit of kit for the money. Shipping was quick and well protected. Recommended.

Pleasantly surprised

Really happy with this purchase. The vents do a good job keeping things cool. The steel construction feels solid and dependable. Fits everything I needed with room to spare. Definitely worth the money.

Good quality, fair price

Glad I finally picked this one up. Plenty of room inside for all my gear. Would recommend it.

Just right for me

Took a chance on it and it paid off. Feels rugged and should last years outside. Seals up tight and keeps the dust out. Not the fanciest out there, but it works. Recommended.

Dipl. Ing.

Excellent quality and value for the money. The internal mounting plate is an excellent feature. Watertight construction.

its decent for the price

Non standard 30mm holes are a bit annoying, build seems decent for price. Shelf a bit flimsy for my use case but box overall is quiet heavy. See how it stands up over time. Freight was biggest hassle with 2 x 3rd party carriers getting involved before I got it over a week late :/

Sturdy box!

I bought this to use a holding space for my surge protector that runs all my network stuff, because there is no place inside my wall to plug it in with the rest of the stuff. It is not the intended use of something like this, but honestly this is just a metal cabinet. It a small metal cabinet that can be used for whatever you want. It is very sturdy, and I would say for the money it is an excellent buy!

Control Panel

I would prefer a different lock/latch but overall it is a good panel.

Impressed

Been using Rittal enclosures for over forty years when working for a company fulfilling government contracts. These boxes equal if not better the quality of the opposition units. The only down side is that don’t comply with Australian/New Zealand of Fed and State requirements of contracts

Electrical cabinent

In the electrical and hvac trades for 42 years. This cabinent was perfect for my needs

Good quality for the price

This box is heavy duty. Similar to boxes I buy for work that cost four times as much

owner

good quality sturdy will designed box for electrical and utility use. the latch and lock works well.

This enclosure is a beast!. I put this thing through hell over the past year and a half, from almost being crushed, to the door almost being pried off, to numerous different items being mounted and replaced within it, this enclosure is excellent and worth the money! The only thing I would change is the mounting tabs. They are a bit sad compared to what they are supporting, but now that I think of it, that may be the reason the enclosure has been able to survive some of its abuse. So much rain, hail and snow has beaten it, and it still looks like I just bought it. The image provided is of the enclosure after being installed for over a year and relocated a few times. It shows only the upper part because it was from the only image I have handy at the time. Oh, and it still seals like it did on the first day!

Surprising Quality

These enclosures are excellent value comparable in build quality to other well known brands I have used.

Mr

Quality product, solid construction and well finished.

Heavy duty weather proof box for all kinds of projects!

Well built and weather sealed. I used this enclosure to house a diesel heater for my greenhouse. Project worked great thanks to this study weather proof box.

Security technician

The box is well built and it's really a good design. I really like the cooling fan and the ventilation. However, there are a few flaws to this design. First of all, if this is an outdoor enclosure, it should be bug proof 100%. Yes, there is mesh for the side vents on the inside of the enclosure, but then there is a big gaping hole at the bottom of each vent for flies and other bugs to go live in there. Over time bugs going in there to live and make nests and all that we'll plug up the mesh screen. So there should be a mesh screen at the bottom of each vent where the big gaping hole is for air to flow through as well as one on the inside of the enclosure. And same with at the top where the fan vents out. There's little slotted holes for the air to go out of the enclosure from the fan. And there is a mesh screen between the fan and this little opening where the air blows into. But again flies and all kinds of other little bugs are going to go live inside of there. So where the little slotted holes are there needs to be a mesh screen covering that as well. So no bugs can go live anywhere in this enclosure. Also there are pre-drilled holes for mounting hardware. There's two at the top…

Good Quality

Its a great product, worked great for my Gallagher Fence Charger. Good quality, I highly recommend it.

Very Complete Product

Historically, I have built these cabinets from components. It is so nice to have a robust outdoor fan-cooled cabinet.

It’s a good deal

After looking for a good deal I settled on this nema box. It has plenty of room to house all of the electrical components required in my latest build.

machinist

Is built well and was easy to put into service

Sir

Great product, will look for lower price elsewhere as I need more, maybe many more if my POC is successful

Sir

Great product, found it cheaper elsewhere

Purchasing Manager

The product itself is well built and the quality of the steel electrical box is very good. However, the major issue is that this box does not appear to have the required North American certification, such as CSA or UL. We installed these boxes on a project, but during inspection the inspector did not approve the installation because the boxes were not certified for use in North America. As a result, we had to remove the entire installation, purchase new certified electrical boxes, and reinstall everything. This caused significant delays and made the installation cost us almost double. This product may be suitable for markets where its existing certification is accepted, but for Canada and the United States it needs proper CSA, UL, or other recognized North American certification. If the brand wants to sell this product in North America, they should clearly state the certification status and obtain the proper approvals required for electrical inspections. The box is good quality, but without North American certification, it can create serious problems for contractors and customers.

Good quality

Good quality, came with all the parts. Back plate is pretty useful too

Engineering

Packaging damaged externally, but the internal product was well protected
