Good overall tool
Good overall however after 2 springs removed the roll pin in one end came out and the circlip in the other end bent and came out. Easy to fix but I feel like they need to be made better. Also there is NO lube on any bearings in either end and the threaded rod is also dry. After lubing these myself the unit was ok.

I don't see a problem using for non HD springs. I used on rav4 2016 front. I made a mistake with standard type before and had spring unload on me. Luckily other way. I'd changed plenty of linear type before. Spring compressing is highly dangerous. I wouldn't use this product to do anything other than standard sedan or wagon type springs with the exception of tapered progressive wound springs that are linear. I felt the product was safe to use when used in accordance and only using hand tools no air tools. Only compressing the spring as much as needed just.

I bought these Spring Compressors specifically to swap out the struts on my Volvo. If you know Volvos, you know the factory springs are long and under significant tension, so I needed something more substantial than the cheap "rental" sets you find at local auto parts stores. Why they worked for me: Build Quality: Right out of the box, you can feel the weight. The casting is thick, and the threads are well-machined. I didn't notice any bowing or flexing even when the spring was fully compressed. Safety Features: The security locking pins/hooks provided a lot of peace of mind. On a job where a slip can be dangerous, these felt "locked in" the entire time. Smooth Operation: I made sure to grease the threads before use (highly recommended for any compressor), and they operated smoothly without any binding or grit. Fitment: They fit into the tight wheel well of the Volvo without much fuss, which can often be a struggle with bulkier professional kits. Pro-Tips for other Volvo owners: Lube the Threads: Use a bit of anti-seize or heavy grease. It protects the tool and makes the cranking much easier. The small set of brackets is not small enough to work with ATV struts or shocks. It does seem like a quality product.

Definitely the best one I've owned
I have the smaller wrench style spring compressors, but they always made me so uncomfortable and nervous. This one really covers the springs and locks them into place as you compress them and I don't have any issues with feeling like it's going to lose hold of it. Just make sure you have the correct size and you'll be good to go. Definitely recommend over any other ones

Looks like a quality unit, especially for the price!, I opened it the day I got it obviously to inspect and was impressed! Today Valentine’s Day 2026. I attempted to open the case to use it for the first time and both plastic open clothes pieces snapped in half! Doesn’t sound like a big deal as the tool worked, but it has considerable heft and now can’t close the case to transport tool to other areas of my shop. Just opened a ticket and we will see if I can get a replacement case whether Warrentee or I will purchase. Need someway to transport. Other than the case breaking it looks like a solid tool. Would recommend to anyone.

Wow en een tool voor de handige doe het zelfer bij auto onderhoud. Het begin was even uitproberen hoe alles veilig werkt, maar eenmaal je door hebt werkt het zeer praktisch en veilig. Het is natuurlijk afhankelijk welke merk schokbrekers en veren je hebt, en hoe de gele bogen uitkomen. Soms komt het net iets onhandig als de veer gespannen is, maar zeker heel goed te doen. Ik ben er heel tevreden mee!

Ich habe diesen Federspanner für Arbeiten am Fahrwerk verwendet und bin wirklich überzeugt. Im Vergleich zu einfachen oder günstigen Federspannern wirkt dieses Modell deutlich stabiler und sicherer. Die Verarbeitung ist massiv, die Gewindespindeln laufen sauber und die Federn lassen sich kontrolliert zusammendrücken. Während der Arbeit hatte ich jederzeit ein gutes Gefühl und keinerlei Zweifel an der Stabilität des Werkzeugs. Sabemos que o valor de retalho é distinto que ao publico porem situaçoes destas deveriam ser efetivamente reguladas. Mostra nos que existe larga margem de negociaçao para posterior venda ao publico. Neste caso o valor aproximava se dos 100eur, comprei em loja com desconto de cliente frequente por 95eur. No Aliexpress o mesmo item vende-se a partir dos 79.40. A expediçao via Aliexpress tambem assegura portes gratis e sensivelmente a mesma rapidez de envio. É de facto lamentavel, entendo eu como má gestao da comercializaçao do produto. L'outil est bien fait et de bonne qualité. Cependant j'ai eu un accident, de ma faute, j'en suis conscient. Je voulais juste prévenir les utilisateur et futur utilisateur de positionner une chaine assez solide pour retenir le ressort une fois comprimé car ce dernier peut s'éjecter du comprime ressort. Ça m'est arrivé et j'ai eu de la chance ! Peut-être serait-il possible d'inclure une chaine dans le kit ainsi que de préciser dans la notice comment l'installer pour mettre l'utilisateur en sécurité.
