Bought this as a winter secondary curtain for my basement sliding door. It's HEAVY so make sure your curtain rods are properly installed or it will break them. Due to its thick nature it's great for sound deadening. Which is terrific if you want to quiet down outside highway noise.. It's thick so no light will get through it. And as I can confirm from the winter season.. It does a terrific job keeping the cold air from a slightly drafty old sliding door out of the room and that is exactly what I needed it for. Just make sure your rod can support the weight and this is a good looking quality and properly sized durable curtain. I didn't notice any issues with an odor with mine when opened. But as with anything fabric related.. I always suggest people WASH Them before they use them. (I didn't however.)
Great product
Priced well. Good quality. Thick enough to provide good protection for our furniture and fragile items. We also used them to protect our wooden floors when furniture was being moved.
It works
This helped me out in a pinch, trying to dampen sound in a hotel room that didn't have good insulation. It's very heavy though!

i used these for carport curtains to keep out dust, wind and other debris. from the street you cannot tell they are even there. open and closes simply and cleanly, no scratches to car. material is holding up to tarp clips. I did not use the grommets but they are well made and evenly placed.
Perfect if you’re a caregiver for someone hard of hearing
My 86 y o dad is living with me and he doesn’t want hearing aids, despite loss of hearing of 80 in R and 60 in left. Instead he plays the tv at level 25. I can hear the TV at 6. The living room happens to share a wall with my bedroom so I usually have to try to crank my tv volume or wear headphones. Neither is ideal. I found this and it definitely has helped. It didn’t block the sound entirely, but there is a door and he’s just on the other side of the wall, so I doubt without spending thousands I will achieve 100% blockage. It has however, made it where I barely hear what he’s listening to and I can watch my programs at a normal volume. Very pleased.
Just what I wanted.
Moderately thick, great for the price. Reaches from the 8' ceiling to the floor. Definitely absorbs some sound and tones down reflections. They were a little smelly out of the package but it went away quickly, I'm only mentioning it because other reviews did.

Definitely absorbs some decibels of sound
Does its purpose. It’s not going to block out all the noise but hung this over the entrance to the game room while my son is home from college for the summer to help absorb some of the noises of his gaming and definitely takes the edge off to where the rest of the house can get some sleep.
Good size, but needs better quality control.
Product size is good. It could be thicker, but I knew reading reviews what I was getting. However, quality control is poor. There is a hole punched out where they missed the grommet. So it is damaged. EDIT: I contacted the brand and they did replace the item without any fuss. Hopefully they increase quality control to keep defective products from being sent to customers. I added 2 stars to my review for their customer service.

Schluckt den Hall sehr gut und ist leicht aufzubauen wenn man schon entsprechend die Stative und Stangen hat. Dabei muss man aber berücksichtigen dass die Decken ziemlich schwer sind damit der Hall entsprechend gut geschluckt werden kann
Top für Sound
Die Vorhänge sind wirklich dick und haben gute Qualität. Die verschiedenen Möglichkeiten zum Aufhängen machen die Anbringung sehr angenehm und einfach. Der Sound wird gut absorbiert in dem Studio in dem ich den Vorhang benutze und gerade der dicke Wegen ist die Qualität mit Molton (nur im Soundabsorb Bereich) definitiv vergleichbar. Empfehle ich gern weiter :)
