Get to know the most common materials and how to keep them looking good for longer. Always follow the label or the item's instructions first.
Solid wood and wood-based panels (MDF, chipboard)
Clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid excess water, prolonged direct sunlight and heat sources.
Fabrics and upholstery
Vacuum regularly and treat stains as soon as possible with a damp cloth, without rubbing.
Rattan and synthetic wicker
Weather-resistant and easy to clean: a damp cloth and mild soap, no abrasive products. In winter, store or protect with a cover.
Metal
Outdoors, dry after rain and choose treated finishes to prevent corrosion.
Glass and lacquered surfaces
Clean with a suitable product or water with a little detergent and a soft cloth; avoid abrasive sponges.
Canvas prints
Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use water or cleaning products and avoid hanging in damp places or in strong direct sunlight.
