These are great turning tools at a great price. I am just getting started in wood turning and find these easy to use while learning

For the price and with carbide tips tis is certainly good value. Mainly purchased for occasional DIY projects which had proved easy to use for a non wood turner. Had to hunt down spare tips which are not offered by this manufacturer

Mini lathe user… you need these!

If you own a small lathe, like I do, (10 inch over bed) maybe you think you don’t need tools this big… wrong. I’ve been turning for over 20 years, everything from pens, to bowls to fish bats to lighthouses. I bought carbide tools about 3 years ago, and was amazed at how good they are, compared to trying to sharpen the regular. I had 2 sets of 3, carbide tools, in 2 lengths. I have a set I bought that are about 12 inches, and I custom made a short set that at about 9 inches long… but now I have another set… these. They are awesome. I’m part way done a 8 inch bowl and the control these tools give is amazing. There’s a purpose for all the lengths I have, and this will not replace any of them, but don’t hesitate, get yourself a set. All my cutters and interchangeable, and I sharpen them multiple times using 3 diamond plates. Will never go back to standard scrapers and shews.

Just as good as items 5x the price

I am an experienced woodturner. These tools are just as good as big names tools (Robert Sorby, Lignum, etc). Carbide is carbide! Don't hesitate. They hold up fine.

Just getting into this and have been picking up tools to use with an old lathe just acquired. Saw these with the replaceable cutters and had been wanting a set but normally very expensive. These were very reasonably priced so I purchased them as I am getting everything I need together. I have not used them yet but I can say they are very well made and look high quality. Looking forward to using them when I get my shop set up.

These work awesome. No more worrying about sharping tools. Rotate the bit and go. Handles are very comfortable.

Many tools here say if they come sharp or or not. For those just starting out, some high quality tools are not final sharpened so that you can put the edge you desire at purchase. If you're new and do not know how to sharpen the tools you are buying please find someone or watch a video on the subject and add any sharpening items with your purchase. This set came about 75% sharp. Since I'm returning

Decent Set

I have not had an opportunity to use these yet but they appear to be well made and of decent quality. As a beginner, this set seems to be a good value for an entry level set of wood turning tools. I like that the tips are replaceable and expect to get some good results with them.

Great chisels they work on Australian hardwood when traditional chisels refuse to cut without massive tool pressure. They make turning more enjoyable and a lot quicker to complete jobs. Comes with wooden case 3 tools complete and 1 spare carbide insert for each tool plus torx key for the screw.

Carbide tip turning chisels

I purchased a set of these 12 months ago.They are exceptional value for money.They punch well outside their weight .I have used them extensively and they have never failed. Good length and balance.The convenience of having e 4 chisels for $100 is great. This last set is for a friend and fellow turner and he expresses a similar attitude. Great tools for the price. These have the smaller 11mm cutter heads but do a great job. Come packaged well in flip lidded box. For the price you can't go wrong

Great value. I'm not very experienced,.but these cut nicely, as well.as the ones that came.with my lathe. I'm optimistic that these will need less sharpening as I'm turning. They don't seem to leave as smooth a finish as my traditional HSS chisels and I haven't had to sharpen them yet, but I'm thinking a few locks with diamond lapping stick should do it. They seem nicely made and I'm cautiously optimistic.

Got the 4pc Carbide set before Christmas, the overall quality is quite good. The gouge seemed a bit dull compared to the other 3 tools, I honed the carbide insert on my 600 grit diamond that seemed to make a difference. Would be nice if the handles were just a bit longer and heaver. The brand should offer replacement carbide inserts as I would have ordered some extra at the same time as the purchase. For the price and quality, I would recommend this set.

My only complaint is that it does not come with extra Carbide Inserts. The set I got work great so far. I was going to get an extra set but the price went up.

carbide lathe chisels

Put these chisels to the test and found them very good. The carbide tips are very sharp and handled both very hard wood as well as resin turnings. I like the long handles as they suit my stance at the lathe. The price fit my budget also.

Chisels

The tools are great, very sharp and makes easy work out of all the woods I tried. Just need to find where ei can buy replacement tips, i will most likely damage one before it gets dull.

Have not had a chance to really use these tools on a large project.I did use them on a small bowl and they worked great.

I have a 8 piece of Benjamin select turning tools and they are good but the brand carbide tools are wonderful and a great deal for the price.
