Good Product...But

Solid Product but first try one set of cutters were cutting deeper than the rest. Tried removing cutters cleaning and carefully reseating but problem continued.

The thicknesser was quite easy to set up, and for the price it achieves quite a lot. I'm thicknessing french oak at 140mm wide (roughly 1mm at a time), and it's doing quite well. Unfortunately, because it's oak, it didn't take too long for the feed rate to slow down somewhat. This may be connected to the secondary feed chain that broke relatively quickly, but it may also simply be due to wear any tare due to the oak being planed. For anyone reading, the replacement chains are the same size and dimensions as heavy bmx chain. All in all, I'm quite pleased for the price. The lack of information on the replacement chains was a frustration (due to me having to guess and buy which chain). However, for the price, I'm still quite happy.

Don’t buy from the brand!!!

You would think a company as large as the brand, who has sold countless amounts of equipment to myself and others would stand behind their product when the item is defective. Not only does the brand make it nearly impossible to locate return information, when you do find it they fight you instead of resolving the issue. NEVER AGAIN the brand!!

Helical head leaves grooves; Calls it normal

I first rated this 3 stars: a decent machine for the price. I dropped it to 1 star because of how the brand handled the defect. The problem: it leaves grooves in the wood you can see and feel, as if the inserts aren't set at equal height. Not the fine scalloping you expect from a helical head, which sands out in one pass, real grooves. I reported it with photos. As seen from other reviews, i'm not the only one with this problem the brand's reply: their technical department stated that the spiral head uses 24 separate blades, that "minor machining tolerances" between them cause grooves, and that if I want a smoother surface I should use a straight-blade planer instead. See attachement Read that again. You pay extra for the helical cutterhead precisely because it promises a cleaner finish and less sanding. When it doesn't deliver, their answer is to buy a different type of machine. No repair, no replacement cutterhead, no check whether my unit is out of spec... Other downsides: very loud (a genuine nuisance for neighbours); the dust hood is awkward to fit, as it lifts while you tighten the bolts; and with extraction connected the outfeed flap can no longer be folded up. Well built and great product for the price.

Does a great job so far. Runs quieter then expected and handles all types of wood that ive run through it without any problem. Made of metal instead of a lot of plastic which to me, makes it better built. Very satisfied with the planer so far and was a decent price for the job it does.

Trimming Time

I bought this because I make signs for members of my church. It has done an absolutely awesome job. The dust collecting system is awesome. Works great with my wet/dry vacuum. Being able to planer several sizes of lumber is awesome. Definitely a time saver for me. It leaves an awesome finish. Very little sanding or trimming when I'm done. Seems to be well built. I love it.

I just purchased this as I have wanted a planer for years. I used it to make 6 bee boxes and 60 frames for it and it made the job MUCH easier! I was able to plane the frame pieces to thickness in one pass instead of having to cut each of 180 pieces twice on the table saw. The cut is so smooth I didn’t really need to sand them.

Good value

Everything seems to run smoothly. I am happy except for how quickly the rubber drive rollers become dusty and fail to pull the material through the cutters. There is no mention of how to properly clean them. I found myself having to raise the cutting head as far as it will go and found I can only wipe the exposed rubber part with a damp cloth. It is impossible to turn the roller by hand. Using power involves plugging it in and giving it a burst of power, then hoping the roller stops in an appropriate place. USE caution, the cutters are very close to the rollers. I cut myself quite badly the first time I cleaned them. My old planer, a Delta, never required having the rollers cleaned in 15 years. I have had to do the twice in a month

Perfect for the home shop.

Very decent quality. Simple to adjust the amount of cut material. Not as loud as my neighbors planer. Finishes the wood smooth enough that I don’t need to use 100 grit sandpaper anymore. I’m starting my projects with 150 grit paper so it will end up saving me some money and time on my projects. Without the dust collector chute on it, wood chips go everywhere but I’m sure if I connected a shop vac to it, there would be very little wood chips and dust.

A great product!

If you hit a nail... its so easy to just turn 1/4 turn each small square blade.... plus this is much quieter than a 2 or 3 blade planer. Great product!

Least Expensive and underrated

Perfect finish! Look at this quality!

Wow! Cuts so nicely and no sanding needed. These are 5.5" x 6' cedar pickets that are $3.67 each but I will have the best fence in town! Especially after I seal it with a nice Behr stain. I wish the up and down was automatic instead of a crank but for $400, this is my best purchase of 2026 so far.

Bang for buck

Over all allot for the money, dustcollection adapter/plastic culd be better. 1 or 2 replacments cutters included would have been nice. It leavs smal smal lines on the finish you can not se them but you can feal them whit the fingers, a quick sanding whit 120 gritt fixed it. overr all happy whit the machine.

Good for what it is and costs

Arrived in good time and in good condition, the machine does what it says, but remember it is the cheapest option and not intended for precision work.

Received this the other day. Ordered this item after researching for close to 2 months. I tend to overthink things. I have gotten back into woodworking, a craft my grandfather taught me. As a paramedic for the last 20-plus years I need a productive hobby that helps with the daily grind. After researching pull the trigger on this item based on reviews I found in this site and others. Arrived on time and packaged exceedingly well. I just happened to be in my garage when FedEx arrived. I offered him a cold Diet Pepsi and he accepted. Now powers me two bucks! Set up was quick and easy. Two minor complaints. The dust port shroud doesn’t fit as nicely as I had hoped. The second area of improvement could be slightly better written instructions. Easy to level and easy to calibrate depth. Ran scrap wood through after set up while attached to my shop vacuum. Minimal snipe and evolved to no snipe with a few more adjustments. Ran some soft pine and then introduced my custom cutting board. It handled it with ease and is so smooth that final finish will be so easy. Recommend this to any cost conscious woodworker who demands quality at an affordable price.

Product: 2000w and 330mm planer with helical blade (24 pcs). I was a bit hesitant, as a similar planer with helical blades was twice the price. This one has 24 mini blades (competition has 40), but let me say that it works GREAT. The wood comes out the other side impeccable, ready to paint. The best purchase I made in the brand so far. Machine looks sturdy (good quality), doesn't vibrate, doesn't have any issues whit settings (vibration changes adjustments if machine is low quality). Only 1 speed setting. It has SLOW START (I love it). But again, this machine is a BLAST for the price. I highly recommend for home/hobbyist use.

Best value for money

What value for money !!! I used it to plane my wood for the butcher block countertop we made !!!! 10/10 wil recommend !! The only thing that’s I would change is the blow action if shavings - you have to clean it out after every two or 3 planks

Very good quality planer

I replaced an older 2 blade planer with this one. The spiral cutter head is amazing and leaves a great finish on the wood. The soft start motor is also nice. Dust collection works well too.

Great metric focused planer

Works well, quality is great. Just note that the thickness change gauge is in metric. Imperial units are accounted for as more of an after thought in areas like the overall thickness gauge.

Model M1B-LS-3301 THE 13" helical planer out of the box performed well. I ran 8"x15/16" maple and red oak, 2"x11" rough sawn pine planks 4'+6' lengths. Minimal scarfing on any of it. Ran some glue ups that were 5/8"x11"x8" and had tearout on exit. Again it was minimal. Overall I'm satisfied. Dust collection is not robust but keeps the work area manageable. Got to edit this. Week later and on of switch fell apart, and cutter tooth broke. Available parts list doesn't seem to exist. Thank goodness 90% of bench top planers are all dang near the same.

This is my first thickness planner, and I am very pleased with the quality of the product and the cleanness of the surface after planning. The planner is easy to use and adjust as well.

Good machine

This machine does a nice job on the pine boards I’m running through it . But don’t make the same mistake I made … I didn’t know there were nails in a board and it chipped them blades pretty bad . Currently waiting on new ones . My fault 100% I now have a hand held metal detector to run over these reclaimed boards

Maszyna dotarła przed czasem , solidnie zapakowana na szczęście bo przewożnik jak widać po poobijanym kartonie nie zwraca uwagi na zawartość. Próbne struganie miękkiego drewna wyszło bardzo dobrze . Solidnie wykonana poskręcana i ustawiona . Trzeba się jej nauczyć . Dobrze by było gdyby producent rozważył możliwość zmiany kierunku podłączenia odciągu wiurów z prawej strony na lewą .

2 hónapja vettem, de jobb lett volna a 3 késes. Túl vannak edzve a pengék szerintem és 2 el is tört. A garancia viszont jól működik. A magyar vámmal kicsit nehéz volt megértetni hogy garanciális alkatrészt küldtek. Nem pontos a pengék mérete vagy a központosító csavar, így csíkos lesz a felület. csiszolással megoldható. Összeségében használható de jobbra számítottam.
