Bought this to replace a 4 inch vise that had developed a lot of sloppy in the lead screw. This new vise is heavy and strong. The rotating head is very smooth and the larger anvil is very useful. Packing was very good and it arrived undamaged.
High quality & well tested
I bought this vice few months back to replace an old style vice I have on my bench. I always test products properly for a few months before I review to give an accurate review. It comes as seen with installation bolts and plastic magnetised sleeves to place on jaws for when working on softer materials so as not to scratch or damage etc.. I have a deep steel table bench so I used my own 6" bolts to install the vice. It comes out of the box with no extra assembly required and is an impressive weight. It is finished professionally and pre lubricated ready for work. The adjusters for shifting angles are great so once tightened by hand it will not budge from your setting. Under testing the main jaws have great grip power on solid and tube mild steel. Working on round or angled objects is a lot easier with a turn of the vice head it has smaller jaws for clamping. I have also used the plastic type magnetic jaw protectors on more fragile plastic pieces etc that I dont want scraped and they work a treat. Wow. a big heavy duty rotating vice for 160 odd bucks, how do you beat that? It arrived in a few days and is as solid as a rock on the bench. it rotates and locks in all positions and even has a round pipe grip area. I wont go back to Total Tools or Sydneys now unless its urgent.

The quality is outstanding. The price is awesome. Extremely well constructed. Just what i required. It will be mounted on a 1200 x 800mm pro series welding - fixture table. It will be mounted on a fixture plate that matches the 50mm grid pattern of the table. It can then be removed and placed on a single post stand that has and electric tapping machine attached.

Mounted it to my service truck as cheap Vise. I like that you can rotate the Vise to grab odd stuff and also to be able to hold round objects. The only thing should be able to come with is a Vise cover for ones who want to mount it on a mobile truck.

Der Schraubstock erfüllt seinen Zweck sehr gut selbst mit Gewalt läst sich der horizontale Winkel wenn eingeklemmt nicht verstellen. Bei der vertikalen Verstellung braucht es allerdings viel Kraft um sie fest zu stellen. Benutze ihn beim Schmieden.
