This lock fits like a glove!!! Couldn't ask for a better lock for the price thats for sure! As long as the locking part holds up it will probably out last my camper. I give $98 for what I ordered and others I looked at made the same was $250+ would definitely buy again and will recommend this to others

Fits a Big Tex

The Big Tex trailer I have has a pretty big coupler on it. Other brands were too small, this one did fit.

Secure Fit and Built to Last

I’m really impressed with this trailer lock. It fits my 2-5/16” Bulldog coupler perfectly and feels very solid and well-built. The heavy-duty construction gives me much more confidence when leaving my trailer unattended. It was quick to install, easy to lock and unlock, and the fit is snug with very little movement. For the price, the quality is excellent, and it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. If you’re looking for a sturdy, reliable trailer coupler lock, I’d definitely recommend this one.

Solid barrel type coupler lock

Received lock in under a week. Comparable to higher cost options. Potentially a 5 star, but won’t rate it as such unless someone attempts (and fails) to break it off.

Seems to be a good lock system, heavy duty steel, I'm not sure what it would take to get it off once it's locked on, without the key. I bought it because my trailer will be out of my sight for a while. I am hoping that if someone wants to steal it, they will go elsewhere once they see that lock.

Recently purchased a utility trailer and wanted a coupler lock ..place I bought trailer from had a similar model for twice the price of the velvor model . Only difference I could see was the key type was different. The velvor actually had what I believe to be a better key system. Simple to install and remove, very heavy duty

Too loose for a 2" ball!

It looks pretty tough, it is easy to install, but for a 2" ball it is wayyy to big! It doesn't stay on, it drop! It would take just a little hit to get it off!

Entire lock assembly comes out of lock when removing the key?

I purchased this trailer lock to secure my snowmobile trailer. When I installed the lock on the trailer coupler and removed the key the entire lock assembly came out with the key. Not what expected from a $50 lock? Co. Sent a new lock that works as designed. Thank you!

Does everything the more expensive ones do!

This lock is heavy and durable. I am using it on my Pequea car hauler 2-5/16" coupler. I am able to get the safety chains inside and with a couple of twists shorten them so they can't be used to drag the trailer away. As far as I can tell this lock does everything the more expensive versions do and is just as sturdy. I would recommend this for any 2" and 2-5/16" straight tongue coupler that it is designed to fit. It's important to select the lock that is made to fit your coupler style. It is easy to put on and take off. Yes, it is heavy but not too cumbersome once you get the hang of the installation. This model does not cover the the receiver latch lever. It does butt up against it so that it cannot be released manually. A coupler latch lock will fit and is recommended in addition to this coupler lock. If you need additional security I would pair this with a wheel clamp or chain and lock through the wheels (on a tandem trailer) or even chain your trailer to a large tree through a stake pocket or other solid point. As with any lock, it secures against opportunists, however anyone with sufficient time and appropriate tools can get into anything.

Just what I needed for my unusual hitch, with mods.

I needed a security system for my 2-5/16 hitch, that had an unusual profile, with the flange high on the hitch, not along its lower edge as is most common. The brand was good enough to post dimensions in its prod desc. Looked to me like with modifications it could work. See pics--I had to cut out a 3/4 inch section (shown as a red rectangle) of the "ball's" shank portion of the lock that fit inside the hitch in order to raise everything up so that the larger part of the inside diameter of the mechanism was high enough to clear the hitch flange. See how the tabs match up perfectly so the lock will go through like it should. Worked perfect, other than the welding heat being hard on the powder coating, but who cares. No other changes were required. The product itself is all steel and very heavy except for the lock, and will take a serious effort to remove it without the key. In that regard this design is vastly superior to any other style I could find anywhere. Everything else available looked easily cut with a portable die grinder and cutoff wheel or bolt cutters. Not this one. You would be cutting for a very long time, or beating on it forever. I guess the lock itself is good--can't say…

Heavyweight cover, good design

This hitch lock is a nice design and works well on my bulldog style hitch. It was reasonably priced and I couldn’t see much difference between this one and the more expensive ones. The lock is aluminum and fairly light, but not easy to access. Let’s face it, if someone has the tools and the time, they will get into anything.

Great alternative.

Was gonna buy a PROVEN INDUSTRIES version of this until I discovered the weak link be the lock puck itself. So why pay over $250. This housing is pretty much the same. Can’t say about the metal hardness, but it appears to be just as effective. What a great deal this was.

Fits multiple locks and sizes

Nice lock. Fits 2 different sizes and several different designs. It's already assembled for the 2" so if you need the other you just have ti remove the pre- installed piece. Easy install that locks easily and stays locked, comes with spare keys
