This is a great inexpensive log roller. I have 12 wooded acres with more trees than I need. When they fall over nearby I like to get rid of them. This helps a lot when cutting the trees up!

I bought a log lifter, but it's works good it a big help, but I think it's wobbly, like the feet are too short, maybe longer feet because it falls over a lot.

Overall, the build quality is good and it feels solid and well made. The joint is a little sloppy and has a small amount of play, but it doesn't appear to affect its performance. Despite that minor issue, it works well, operates smoothly, and performs as expected.

Keeps Chains Out Of The Dirt
Very good for the money. Helps me keep my chain out of the dirt. Assembled easily. Black rubber handle cracked almost immediately, but that’s why there’s duct tape.

this is a very handy piece of equipment. I have used it to move logs over 2 feet in diameter as well as getting smaller logs up off the ground to help make the job easier. Overall I am very happy with my purchase with both the product and price. One last warning, the spikes on this are sharp and I managed to get myself with it as I was walking past it while using it. The 2 inch cut it produced on my arm was quite painful. 4 weeks later it has nearly healed. My fault, not the equipment.

Excellent leverage
Very effective leverage! I moved a several hundred pound log with ease (estimate 500 - 600 lbs), got it into cutting position, did first cuts on one side, turned it over, finished the cuts without getting the chain in the dirt. Did the trick. Only thing is I have to glue the rubber handle on. It slipped off when I moved the log.

what a great piece of kit. I have been using this now for a few weeks and have found it to be invaluable. I was able to roll logs of about 2 feet diameter, sometimes easily and sometimes struggling but it still rolled. I am absolutely wrapped with this.

Great for lifting logs up to get a choker on for skidding. If tge log is too wide and you find that once it's been tilted back onto the legs it begins to tip forward, just put your foot on the rear leg to hold it down until you're done rigging. Whatever you do, DON'T let it roll forward without holding the bar! You could get slammed in the head by a heavy, fast moving steel bar! Thus, knocking one on his azs and seeing stars during the day. Just saying. P.S. A little loktite on the threads of the bar(it comes in 2 pieces) will prevent it from wobbling if it gets unscrewed a little.

This thing has been a huge help with sawing big logs on the dirt. I’ve rolled up logs as big as 32” up off the dirt and gave me clean passes with the saw without having to worry about the chain getting in the dirt even a little. Very much worth the money!

In the past I would roll logs by hand on your portable sawmill. A cant hook looked like it would be helpful. And indeed it was. I should have gotten this before I got my mill. It works great.

I wish I had one of these years ago . It seems very solid and it really helps . No risk of a chain hitting dirt. Makes moving a log easy . The pickaroon is decent . For the amount of wood we play with it is worth the expense.

Sturdy, super useful, amusing!
This is made extremely sturdily from strong steel, powder coated, seemingly well welded. The design is super, allowing a log to be lifted and held for bucking. I have no experience with other peaveys, but this really does seem to live up to the company claim of tough tools, half price. Assembly was straightforward, but there is little help for that in the "User Manual", save for the good drawing of the completed piece. The box did contain a fancy looking pointed self tapping bolt thingy, which seems to have no relation to this tool. There was also included two flimsy 17/19 mm wrenches - nice gesture, but you would have to be desperate to actually use them. Finally the nice rubber handle end will not go on unless you warm it in very hot water and bang it on with a hammer. I used a dead blow to avoid ripping the rubber. The amusing parts are in the manual, which exhorts you to be careful, with lines like "Stay alert, watch what you are doing, and use common sense" and to care for and keep checking this lump of inert metal. Some quasi legalistic bits are puzzling: "The appearance of the product shall be subject to the product you received". But overall it's endearing: "Please forgive…
