Only one comment, worth every penny. Was a snap to install maybe 30 minutes only because I had to go 5 miles to TSC for spacers to raise the seat.

Remember you need 4x 1” base spacers to allow the seat to flex over bumpy terrain.

Item was delivered a day early & I did not give a 5 star review mainly because the instructions do not tell you that a 4x1” spacers are needed to mount the bottom seat bracket/frame to the frame of the lawn mower base plate to allow the suspension seat to move up & down freely when riding over a bumpy field…. The instructions booklet makes no mention what-so-ever of this at all & it baffled me to no end to try to reason why the seat would not flex up & down at a bump… I used 4 x 3/8” metal nuts, one on top of each other ( only because I had them already ) on each base mount to make up as spacers at each base mounting bolt … plus 4 x 2” x 5/16” bolts & nylon lock nuts to secure the base tightly… The 4 x 5/16 x 2” bolts & 5/16” vibration nuts will be your own extra added expense… The seat works very well after learning all this on YouTube videos... it definitely made a huge difference on the ride ! Buy with confidence...

Ordered this for my new Toro commercial zero turn mower that was a stiff ride and couldn’t be happier. First, out of the box I was blown away by the quality and build. Way more heavy duty than I expected in this price range. The swat base was easy to install with multiple mounting holes available. I did have to drill two new holes which is to be expected on a universal kit. After install I felt like I was on a different mower as it made the ride a hundred times less stiff. If you bought anything of similar quality at a mower shop it would cost $500 dollars easy, but hats how well made it is. Shipping was also quick and being my first purchase on the brand, I’m always a bit worried not knowing the quality of something so to say I was surprised and impressed is an understatement.

Can be used on a Toro Time Cutter mower

Installed it on a Toro Time Cutter zero turn that is over 10 years old. Definitely made a difference, but not night to day difference. Had to do some custom backyard engineering as I did not want to modify seat. The seat has 4 protruding studs from the bottom that go into slotted tracks in mower frame. I made a spacer to go between them to get a greater contact area. Then I made a plate out of 1/8 aluminum (I had it laying around) and mounted seat to that (I think you could use 3/8 plywood but that would add to height). I then had to drill holes in mower frame to mount bottom of unit to mower frame. A little work but seems worth it.

This is quite a heavy part, it appears to be unnecessarily so. It seems very solid and works as intended. The small size makes it easy to adapt to many different seats. But the resultant assembly is heavy.

May save you money in the long run

Added this to. Gravely 52” zero turn. It may have saved me over 6000.00 dollars as I may not have to upgrade my mower!

you have to buy the connectors and wires to make the extension for the safety switch.

I love the product but if people buy it for the ZT 1 they will have to make an extension for the safety switch .

Works good but not likely to just bolt on

First off I do believe this is a good product. Reading through the comments I was fairly certain that there would be some fab work involved. This is not as universal as implied and is not very likely to just bolt on. I fab stuff all the time so this wasn't a problem for me but could be for some people. My mower was a 2024 BadBoy. I had to drill four holes to bolt the unit down. Two holes worked to bolt the seat down and I had to drill the other two. Again this is right up my alley and I was expecting it so be warned you'll need a drill and bits if it doesn't fit, again not likely. It definitely adds suspension to the seat and makes it more comfortable. You will have to adjust to your weight. My suggestion would be to sit on seat and bounce a few times, while remaining sitting , take both hands and pull down on plate that its bolted to and see if it pulls down any, if it does your pretty close but if it doesn't your still relying on original springs and need to crank up spring tension.

Worked great. Instructions were not in the box. But youtube has plenty of videos on it. Dont forget to add spacers....

Comfort for my 2002 Exmark laser Z

I installed the Seat Suspension Kit on my 2002 exmark laser Z and it made a huge difference in comfort. The suspension absorbs bumps and vibration really well, which takes a lot of strain off your back during long mowing sessions. Build quality feels solid and the adjustability lets you tune the ride for your weight. Just keep in mind this kit does not come with a seat slider, so if you want forward/back adjustment you’ll need to add one separately. Overall, it’s a big upgrade over a fixed seat and well worth the investment! Install Steps: 1.Remove your existing seat from the mower or tractor by unbolting it from the base. 2.Line up the suspension kit mounting holes with your seat base or drill new holes if needed. 3.Bolt the suspension kit securely to the equipment frame. 4.Mount your seat on top of the suspension kit and tighten all bolts. 5.Adjust the tension or air setting to match your weight. 6.Test drive and make final adjustments for comfort and height.

Definitely made a difference

I would recommend this. My tractor seat is much more comfortable now. Had to make an adaptor plate to get it to fit.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Does not fit a cub cadet ZT1 well in that it doesn’t allow the slide functio due to seat angles, hardware is wrong thread for seat. Should have spent less on non sliding version.

NO MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS

For the $100 price tag. This item works great and is heavy duty. If not for that, I would give it a 1 star for the absence of direction. I purchased the adjustable one so CANT speak for the standard one. This thing is an absolute bear to install. As stated in other reviews, NO INSTRUCTIONS TO install. Who is the genius that encloses an instruction booklet with NO instructions on mounting. First you CANT get at the bolts with the seat on the rails. You have to take them off. That’s where the fun begins as the mounting holes are slotted, allowing for horizontal movement. After fighting for over an hour and half, I found that you have to mount seat with the right (adjustable) slide first and tighten the bolts, then slide the other rail on (as you can access these bolts with seat on by moving forward and back. Kind of a puzzle, but maybe I’m the problem being old. Hope this helps a little.
