Great vice for your average shop projects!

Nice vice for the money! It’s not the same quality or precision as a Kurt vice but the cost is considerably less. If you’re not doing extremely precision work this is more than adequate for most projects . I’m using mine on a good quality drill press so I don’t need anything with greater precision.

Petit problème d'équerrage entre le mors fixe et les patins centreurs qui s'engagent dans la rainure de la table. Il y avait 5 /100 iéme de faux équerrage sur la longueur du mors qui fait 120 mm, j'ai dû bricoler les patins pour rectifier le problème.

Retired home inspector

The vise is very impressive in all aspects. My only concern was the packaging. It appeared that the box was dropped during transport and subsequently the foam packaging was broken in some cases but the vise was not damaged. As a result of the damage, the manual was scuffed and torn beyond repair. I was unsuccessful in obtaining a replacement copy via your online service and unfortunately did not find a download version in the internet.

Suitable for most uses

It is fine for the hobbyist but it isn't a Kurt. Then again, it is a fifth the cost of the equivalent Kurt. I'd buy it again.

Nice piece!

A real heavyweight that the post office had a bit of a struggle with. A lovely, precise vice. I just filed down a few sharp edges on the underside, but at this price it’s unbeatable. It’s precision-made and, thanks to the design of the guide, it doesn’t pull the clamped material upwards like a simple vise that is used normally with a column drill.

Bon materiel

Je n’ai pas encore eu l’occasion de m’en servir, car l’étau est vraiment beaucoup plus grand que je pensais et il ne peut pas être utilisé sur ma fraiseuse d’établi. Cela dit la qualité est là, ça respire la solidité. Un jour j’achèterai une fraiseuse plus grosse et j’aurai déjà l’étau. Pour le mandrin diviseur, j’ai dû opter pour un petit modèle (toujours ce problème de taille de machine). Mon seul regret est qu’il n’y a aucun disque fourni, il faut les acheter séparément. Heureusement, c’est du standard et on trouve ces disques facilement. J’aurais aimé également qu’il y a les présélections les plus courantes (3, 6, 12 etc) directement sur le mandrin, comme sur le modèle plus gros. Là, sans disques il faut se positionner sur la graduation (360 degrés), ça manque de précision potentielle. Bref, du bon matériel, solide, légèrement perfectible, mais rien qui ne coûte une étoile en moins.

Bei dem Preis kann man nicht vie falsch machen

Die Qualität ist natürlich nicht besonders gut. Alles ist scharfkanntig und mann muss das Ding erst mal ordentlich entgraten. Die Führungen sind nicht gehärtet und werden kein hohe Lebensdauer haben. Die Spindel ist dreht einfach nur in dem Gussteil ohne Lagerbuchse etc. Absolute Präzision kann man bei dem Preis auch nicht erwarten. Grundsätzlich macht er aber was er soll und mit etwas Nacharbeit ist das ein brauchbarer Schraubstock für einen sehr guten Preis.

I needed a vise that does not lift the moving jaw and not very large. After checking several tests at Youtube i found I could buy locally but from the brand in EU I had the best price. Fast delivery as well. I stoned all sharp edges and cleaned everything thoroughly, then reoiled with way oil. After reassembly I have used it several times and I am fully satisfied with it's performance. Since some years I also have a dividing appararus for my milling machine that works fine. I recommend this vise as good value for money
