Excellent vise

This is a very versatile vise - upgraded from a 3.5-inch vise that had no swivel. The wider jaw and jaw opening combined with the swivel base make this vise very useful. I mounted it on a piece of lumber to place it on my tool cart secured with a vice or on a table for other projects. That works for me. The jaw pads that came with the vise were slightly damaged - the vise itself was okay. I purchased aluminum magnetic vise jaws that I use for most applications and can only recommend to get those too.

Rotation ausreichend leichtgängig. Fest Backe ragt weit genug über den Fuß um das Spannen langer Teile zu ermöglichen. Magnetische Schonbacken mit sinnvollen Ausformungen. Vorgespannte Spindel. Verhältnismäßig wenig Spiel in der Hauptführung. Leichte Lackabplatzungen durch Transport. Schrauben sind beigelegt, könnten aber gerne etwas länger sein. Mehr als 24mm sollte die Tischplatte nicht dick sein.

Excellent article pour une utilisation presque pro. Lourd, aux dimensions généreuses, il maintiendra et amortira fermement des pièces de grande dimension. La précision du serrage est bonne et stable (penser à mettre un peu de graisse sur la tige filetée), ainsi que la rotation à 360°. Ses mordaches en plastique semi-rigide aimantées pour les prises délicates sont très utiles. Pourvu d'un "tas" de belle surface, avec forte capacité à absorber les chocs. Petit bémol, que j'avais anticipé grâce à un autre avis client : les boulons fournis M10 x 50 mm sont trop courts pour un établi sérieux. J'ai acheté 4 boulons M10 x 90.

Seems like a nice homeowner vice.

Unlike other reviews, my vice arrived extremely well packaged and cushioned. Mounting to a work bench was easy though the provided bolts are at least a 1/2" too short for mounting to wood-used my own. The instructions provided are written by a non english speaking person and are totally useless other than to tell you to lube the screw. I think this seems well made for light duty homeowner use-nothing heavier than sawing a board or a pipe, or holding a workpiece, which was what I wanted-Not for any serious metal work. The 240 degrees rotation is a little awkward-270 would have been better, but i knew that when I bought it. We'll see how it holds up.

Easy to mount with included template and bolts ! You can switch the head around for more reach really easy , the metal plates are softer than old school vises but they look to be bolted on so you can probably replace them . I have used it extensively and still looks great ! The best value for The money !

Solid Vise!

The brand sells quality products. Hasn’t let me down yet. This 6” vise grip seems very durable and should last a long time! Easy install with a template for the holes included. The swivel feature and magnetic jaws are a plus!

I use this in the dad room as a basic gunsmith and project vise, for which it performs adequately... no complaints. It ships rather oily to protect. against rust, etc. So expect to clean it before installing it.

Using it like a caveman as a press, bending metal, welding on it, hammering on it and the screw still holds. When it was ship everithing was lose and the srew for the jaws were missing

First impression, for the price I paid, I’m happy with it

I haven’t mounted this vice up or used it yet, but everything seems OK so far. The paint quality looks like it might flake off early, but I really don’t care. If it loses that much pain looks that bad. I’ll just repaint myself.. but it seems decent and everything works on it and the threading is clean.

great price! Vice is great! only complaint would be the bolts it comes with are useless for your typical countertop thickness but not a deal breaker.

Decent bench vice...

All in all, a good small bench vice with both flat jaws and pipe jaws. Clamps up nicely, but overall the tolerances are a bit loose, be interesting to see how long it lasts.

It's my only vice!

I had been using a 4" Record vice for about 20 years. It needed an upgrade. For the price this is brilliant. I hope I will be able to say the same thing in 20 years time.
