We process your personal data under the terms of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

What data we process and for what purpose

  • Identification and contact details, delivery and billing address — to process and deliver the order and comply with tax obligations. Legal basis: performance of the contract and legal obligation.
  • Payment data — processed directly by the payment provider. We do not store card data.
  • Order history and support communications — to assist you and resolve complaints. Legal basis: performance of the contract and legitimate interest.
  • Images sent for the personalised frame — used only to produce your order and deleted after the complaint period.
  • Email for newsletter, if subscribed — legal basis: consent, revocable at any time.

Review request after purchase

If you have agreed to receive our marketing communications, once your order has been delivered we may send you an email asking for your opinion on the items you bought. This request is sent only to people who have subscribed to marketing communications and at most once per delivered order. For this we use your name, your email address and the items in the order. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Article 13-A of Portuguese Law No. 41/2004 of 18 August on electronic communications). You can withdraw your consent at any time, free of charge, using the unsubscribe link in every email or in your customer account; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of emails sent before it. These emails are sent by a processor, Shopify (e-commerce platform).

With whom we share

Only with those necessary to deliver your order: carriers, suppliers who ship directly, the frame producer in the European Union, the payment provider, the shop platform and our accountant. We do not sell data to anyone.

How long we keep data

Billing data for the legal tax retention period; other data for as long as the relationship lasts and the warranty period.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, deletion, restriction, portability and objection by writing to essenza@myessenza.eu. You also have the right to complain to the National Data Protection Commission (cnpd.pt).
