Für den Preis wirklich sehr gut! Nichts rostet. Funktioniert nach 2 Jahren noch immer gleich gut! Achtung bei den Spannwerkzeugen, es halten nicht alle gleich gut, manche haben einen zu dünnen Einsatzstift.

This Ball Vice is a great item for jewellery making. It is quite heavy but it needs to be for effectiveness. The 'extras' make the ball vice a completely useful bench tool.

better than expected

Sturdy and well made vise. Build quality is much better than expected, considering the price. The jaws have a bit of play and tend to angle out at the top, especially with all accessories mounted. I use shellac, pitch or Thermo-Loc to hold difficult pieces, and have no problems with work holding. I had an issue with the first shipment (missing part), and the brand's customer service resolved it fast and efficient. Very happy with the overall experience!

Excellent product, don't know how I managed without it to be honest. It's made many jobs much easier, drilling and using burrs for stone setting as it is stable. The variety of pins and holders for it is very useful. Very pleased with my purchase.

Great Product for a great price

This vise has made my bezel burnishing so much easier. Was previously using a vice clamped to the side of a work bench however that is now out the window. Being able to spin around as you work is so much better. Had to google as to what all the parts were that came with it as there are no instructions but eventually worked it out. So much cheaper than the GRS model but it works I would think just as good!

Solid piece of kit.

Pleasantly surprised when i first picked it up as it has a good weight to it. Reckon ill get a lot of use out of it, and compared to the bigger names the price is great. Had a small issue on my end, not at any fault of the brand but they were quick to respond and sort it out.

Good customer support

Ordered one and didn’t use it for 10 months until I got the rest of my engraving tools. Opened the box to find out it didn’t revolve perfectly. Told them and they replaced it even though it was so long since I bought it. Great product, excellent customer service! Even got to keep the old one and fixed it by drilling up to a 1/2” hole directly in the bottom and untighten the hex screw that holds it together.

Great budget vise

I’ve never owned a GRS vise, but I can’t imagine it being much better than this one. Spins smooth, the accessories fit properly, and it holds work pieces securely. I’m pretty sure this came out of the same factory as the GRS vise. Even has a spot cut out where the GRS logo would go. Great budget alternative to an expensive vise.

This is the larger Ball Vise, its heavy and appears to have all the features you would require, as a hobby jeweller I am happy with the purchase, folks with smaller hands might consider the 3" Ball Vise, it looks very well made, and should last longer than I will.

The parts are fitting little loose and jaw's to,but with with a little work and a patent from me it work nice...! also the coating from the ballvise starting off on the first week of use, so i took it off and use it with the naturale color of iron and periodically put-on protection from antitrust WD 40 and that's it...!

This engraving ball vise has made my life so much easier when gem setting. I am delighted with it. Now I have it's table on gliders it is so easy to access. It is necessarly a very heavy tool so leaving it in a permanent position is a good idea.

Great generic if you do not have money for GRS brand.

The vise itself is sturdy, nicely weighted. It feels well made and durable considering it's $300-$700 cheaper than the well known GRS brand. If you can afford the GRS, get it. But if you are a starving artist like me, it is well worth the savings.The attachments aren't perfect but work. The main jaw attachment is designed in such a way that it twists off if not careful. The one side only has one peg so it rotates the jaw piece but it can be worked with.I have set 2 rings with it thus far and I'm pleased. Obviously I don't know what I'm missing not having a GRS but I have found being happy with what you have makes a huge difference in your attitude overall.I would purchase this brand over other generics mostly bc they are more established.

Really great item for a great price. Solid construction and smooth turning. Also comes with a good support ring, it has 2 sides, one allows movement, the other doesn't. All the attachments look good (although I might cut the week looking foam off the ring holder and glue some leather on).

Great piece of equipment and priced very attractively. It has met all my requirements and allows a much more controlled approach to jewelry repair and bone carving. I can now hold those fiddly bits exactly at the right angle to file or saw them into shape. The vice has plenty of small attachments to allow for manipulation of all sorts of pieces. The fitment of the attachments is good. A very worthy addition to my workbench.

Definitely worth the money!

I have used this more than a few times now and have to say that while it might not be the EXTREMELY expensive name brand, it does a pretty admirable job for the price. I will need to adapt a few work arounds for some of the tools that it doesn't have,but it has really come in handy! It has a substantial weight and I am still discovering all the things it can help with. I have had to look up some videos about the name brand so that I have a better understanding of all the things it should help with and have found that to be the easiest way to sort out it's pro's and cons. I will need to adapt a clamp bar that I can embed a ring into for pave' work .Overall very happy with my purchase.

Own grs standard and this one. The differences are insignificantly small.

Great value for the money I also have the grs standard ball vise I ordered about thw same time and at this point have used both about the same amount. To summarize:. Is the grs better quality? Yes. Is this reflected in the price? Not even close!. Compared to the standard grs, 1 being terrible 10 being no observable difference.. weight : 10/10, performance: 9.5/10, finish and feeling: 8/10 ( diff not worse). Rubber base : 9.9/10. Size and shape 10/10, attachments 9/10. smoothness of adjustment 10/10. Rotation : 7.5/10.... I would say domt waste your money on grs this is good enough for a pro any day in my opinion. Idk maybe I got a good one but basically it's worth the money in this case you get way more value per dollar. Only get grs if you don't care about money or not working your own hrs is great product but so is this one.

Very substantial block and a really good alternative to a grs block. I've used it for over 12 months and it's a great. Tricky to use a hammer though when setting as the bits can fly out for bezel setting but using thermoplast helps
