Not working out of the box

Just purchased this. Unboxed, filled with oil to correct level and filled with fuel. I was not able to start it. It has a gas leak somewhere near the carburetor but doesn’t seem to have any spark either. It was definitely not an out of the box and hit the ground running type of machine. I went old school and used a manual t post driver, as I was at a location and on a job. I’ll have to see if I can’t find the issue in the next few days when I have a chance to take it apart and try and find the problem.

Not worth it

Attempted to install 3 1/4” posts. Didn’t have an hour to get each one in. Do not buy. After one post all the screws are falling out

Finally used this product for the first time last week, it will run, but cannot give it any throttle or it will die. Messed with it for over an hour, could never get it to work correctly. Pure junk

Light weight, gas powered pole driver

Bought this to replace our similar gas powered driver. It works, but really struggles with our rocky clay soil. Its getting the job done, but its taking twice as long to get pasture fencing set with this driver. Should have went bigger I guess

Great post driver

I bought the post driver knowing I would need it in hot and dry rocky country . It drove the steel T posts a lot easier than driving them by hand ! Great product

Pounding 9ft flat steel fence posts

I bought the machine mid July 2026. It's heavy and rudimentary. Because of the weight, it is difficult to position the unit on top of a 9ft pole to sink it 3ft into the soil. STOP Button is too easy to touch while operating the unit, switching it off unintentionally. It is also not well designed. Will only start and run on full choke; reducing the choke after a 5min warm-up will kill the engine. “Easy Start” did not seem to function on the unit I purchased. Starting the driver needed to happen on the ground, as it is awkward to hold to re-start while on a ladder or elevated platform. HOWEVER, I succeeded in sinking twelve 9ft fence poles (MASTER HALCO from Rona) over three days in Mississauga clay. Mind you, I probed the ground with a 4ft threaded rod chucked into a drill. The post driver will not overcome stones, bricks, and tree roots when pounding in clay; in sandy soil it could be different, but that I do not know. It would appear that a motorized post driver is not available for rent in the GTA and further north to Georgian Bay. I checked the usual tool rental companies (Coopers, etc), only Home Depot in Etobicoke had one for rent when I inquired, but it became unavailable whe…

I used it to pound 15 fence post in the ground and had to tighten and put lock tight on then. Otherwise I love the machine

Heavy but good product.

It is pretty heavy but started up really easy. I have driven about 10 posts so far in really hard ground and no problems so far. I would recommend this product, with all of the moving parts I would recommend getting the service agreement.

for me it was the weight

If I had to do it again I wouldn't buy this unit. Don't get me wrong it is a great unit and works great. But it weighs almost 70 lbs and I'm 80 yrs old, so lifting that up over my head was a bit muck. Again this unit really really does the job, it's just too heavy for an old fart like me.

It did not work as intended. There was a bolt missing cannot tighten it. It was in a bad spot.

Construction dude

Pretty decent rammer. Needs a short break in stretch to get full power. Definitely need to adjust the speed control occasionally. Don't run it absolutely full out. Back off a little, you get better results. This rammer is no joke. Heavy. You all better hang on tight to it Need good upper body strength to control it to keep it centered. Only used it on T posts so far, solid results driving 90 posts so far.

I did not receive my gas powered t-post driver. Fedex delivered it to the wrong address and cant find it. I would appreciate another post driver shipped to me at the cost of Fedex. I sent the tracking number to you via WhatsApp. I dont have it currently available, but can if requested.

37cc star pickets driver

Starts every time, good on fuel and probably as heavy as I'd like to go for this type of machine that sometimes needs lifting above shoulder height. Interchangeable collars are handy although if the star pickets is slightly larger the opening is so precisely cut that a slight dimensional change in the head of the picket won't let it fit. Great for soft ground. Won't push through small rocks and shale though. Needed to go back to the manual version to get through the rocky area.

If it worked, the price would of been great, but sorry to say this post pounder will not pound a pencil in the ground. I watched you tube videos for tips. Followed instruction. Waste of money. Ended up renting a real post pounder from local rental place

One of the best investments you can make, if you have post fences. I had to put in a total of 60 post, both pipe and tbar. 2 hours, 1.5 tanks of fuel. Worth every penny.

Bear in mind this is a HUGE device with 30 kg of net weight. It is a challenging task to lift this safely above the top of the pole to be driven. I couldn’t use it, unfortunately.

Used for lake wall work

This tool saved me many hours of work, and I really could not have done this job without the post driver. I used it to drive 2x6 boards into the ground in front of a lake wall to seal the areas undercut by the lake eroding the soil under the original wall. I tried driving these boards in using a sledge hammer into a heavy clay soil (lake bottom) and was only able to get 8" deep. The post driver was able to get to an average depth of 15 inches. I made an adapter (on 2nd board from right in the picture) to connect the driver to the boards. Like other have noted, using the low speed, just a bit above idle worked best. And when it reaches a point where no further progress can be made, stop to avoid breaking the tool or your work. It is slow but steady. Super easy starting.

Works As It Should

Easy to set up and use. Used to install poles for a chain link fence and also used on putting in dock poles. Works at it should, no issues for the last 3 projects over the last 9 months.

We were about to give up trying to get this to drive a t-post and had even reached out to return it. We found a youtube video that gave us some tips on what to do. You will need to let the post driver warm up for 5 minutes then set it on half choke and leave it there. Then when driving the post you don't want to go full throttle. Works like a xharm and seems to get better every time we use it. Of course it's not going to drive through rock but it does work great for the price. Very happy with this purchase!

drives post pretty good the collar piece completely stinks, have to stop every 45 seconds to tighten the 4 bolts on the collar and after driving 17 post it completely wallered out the bolt holes. Need a better design for the collar or make it a solid unit that does not remove. driving 2 7/8 drill stem pipe. would be awesome if only used for t post. pipe being driven into sandy loam and red clay.

This post did a phenomenal job of driving 2 3/8 posts. It saved me a ton of time. Each post took less than a minute to drive. I was truly surprised at the quality of the JH94 driver and it included an excellent case. The cost was more than reasonable, even qualified as cheap. It started very easy every time. This was my first knowledge of the brand. I have since purchased two more tools from them and have not been disappointed. What are you waiting for? Buy it. You won't regret it.

This item worked for a week. Was able to put in about 8 t post... not even the good t post. They were light...

Great post driver!

I was only driving 1.5" post 3 feet deep but, this thing worked awesome. The post drive shroud vibrated loose after about 3 post. Not a big deal though. I removed the 4 socket head bolts and found they were coated with never-seze. I cleaned them and the threads and applied blue loc-tite. Problem solved. The rest of the job went great.

Complete junk

Won't even pound in a t post in. completely junk! first one didn't run second one they sent me ran fine just not any power to pound in a post. Hey why sell junk when it don't even work properly do you not have any pride in your company

exceptional for price

used this to drive Lifetime Steel Posts. "How did you a 4" wide post firnin a 3.94" hole?" you might ask. we compressed the post slightly across.the width using 2.5" 5/16" bolts in the top two holes. worked like a champ! and this machine starts with the lightest pull I have EVER seen. it is amazing.

Post driver

This worked pretty darn well for some 2 3/8 oil field pipe I was driving about 3 feet in for the first 5 but then all of the bolts started loosening. It was at the point that we would have to stop and retighten several times for each post. Handle bolts and the sleeve bolts. We stopped using it for that project. I then used blue thread lock and tried to sink some 2 7/8 pipe. They didn't really go as well and may have been due to tree roots but then bolts started to loosen again. Lost one in the dirt. I may try the red thread lock. It is also a beast to lift after 2 pipes. I do understand that you need the mass to drive the posts. Several posts mention being able to drive a 4x4 post. I do not think that that would be possible. Maybe a pointed post but the trouble we had with the 2 7/8 pipe leads me to think that is wishful thinking. Soil type working in is also very sandy. I had high hopes for it but I think it probably needs thinner walled pipe or t posts only

Do. Not Buy for Drill Pipe

I bought this as a back up to my titan PGD 3825, which is getting old, for drill pipe. This product is not strong enough, and the machine smocks sometimes. I created a ticket on 04/18, and I am getting the run around to return this machine. All I need to do is return this and get a machine that works. If they have a better one this works, I can exchange . After sending 3 emails fasting for a return label, this morning I got an email with a video on hoe to warm up the engine. How does that help in this situation

*CAUTION ADVISED BEFORE USING THIS ITEM* - Tool arrived and was prepped for first use, and while driving the very first pole, only several strikes in, the collar/sleeve completely fell apart. All bolts/fasteners backed out and the assembly immediately began disassembling itself. Re-fastened all hardware, and after a repeated experience (this time making it maybe 3 posts further) applied LocTite to all possible hardware in the collar/sleeve assembly. This was still no match for the design/functionality of this driver, and ultimately the hardware once again falls out after essentially every use. Considering this unit is mechanically identical to several other "brands" out there, this is all likely a result of this cheaply-made post driver being poorly designed, assembled and using subpar components. Spend the extra $ if you have any sort of project-type use (not just driving a single new mailbox post, etc.) and look at purchasing one of the more premium alternatives. Very disappointing - would NOT recommend
