Heavy!

This is a heavy heavy unit. That's not a bad thing. Has lots of application compatiblity. And it's done in a semi compact build. It feels very durable and isn't too loud for jobs and basic functions and whatnot. Overall a very functional item for whatever you need.

Does the job at a decent price.

We live off grid. We get 100 percent of our energy from the sun and store it in batteries. We have a number of off grid projects that we wouldn't be able to do if we couldn't find inexpensive materials to do it with. A name brand hybrid inverter can run $5000, But we have found but the 6200W Hybrid inverter that runs about $300 will do the same job, however it is 230V single phase output. This is where the Auto transformer comes in very handy. It accomplishes the Step down with a big high quality toroidal transformer. I don't know how they can make it this cheap. Just buying the parts to make a converter like this would cost me twice as much money. This one does the job, and also balances the load, while saving me a whole bunch of money.

Barato con respecto a otras marcas

Venia con la carcasa abollada, la desmonte y tuve que enderezar en varios puntos , la caja venia con mucho aislante por lo que los golpes tuvieron que ser en origen. Funciona bien , se ve que esta fabricado en China con calidad mediana.No tiene lógica que los enchufes Schuko delanteros solo funciones a 220V. Tuve que modificar el cableado interior y poner bien el disyuntor trasero. Pero por lo demás el aparato hace su función y va muy bien no se calienta mucho

Effective and seemingly reliable converter

I had recently bought one of these, and I liked it well enough that I purchased a second one. I moved from the USA to Italy recently, and have a fairly significant number of products still that require a conversion to 110-120 V, not just an adapter (and sometimes I am not attentive and miss which ones require it, with less than ideal :-( results). This one offers 3 outlets for standard USA 3-prong outlets, has a high capacity (rated up to 5000W, although no more than 4000 is recommended as the max use), while at the same time offering 3 Italian Type F outlets (and 2 USB adapter plug ins), so plugging in this converter doesn't prevent one from using the socket for any Italian-native appliances that one would have been using before. I haven't felt any head issues in using it so far, despite actually using 3 appliances at times. I believe the price is fair, at least from my experience after 2 months, for the confidence I have felt in using it so far.

Great Transformer

This is an amazing unit in that it is far superior to the ones I used in Europe when I was a kid, and for a much lower price. I use it to power a German wired keyboard and it works without flaw.

does the job

This converter is a superior choice for voltage conversion for any thing beyond a power brick. We have used them to power ice makers, and dehumidifiers easily. Tried using an electronic converter (the smaller size devices) but they dont even begin to work properly apparently due to the lack of continuity of the ground circuit. No problem for these converters. Extra outlets a plus also.
