Bought this just over a month ago to use in our new print and ship store. Our opening was delayed, therefore so was my use of the paper cutter. Upon actually using it, I discovered I did not receive the product that was advertised. I am a printing store, I need a cutter that will hold on to the paper, tightly. The arm with the adjustable screw was why I chose this model. I also do not seem to have the front turn handle and corresponding paper holder to grab the paper on the right side by the blade. When I pull the handle down to cut, the paper bunches up at the top producing an uneven cut if I have a stack over 100 sheets. It cuts a smooth edge, and it's pretty straight for 100 sheets or less, but I really expected more based on the pictures and description on the site.

Excellent Paper Cutter – Strong and Precise

I am very satisfied with this paper cutter. It is sturdy, well-built, and very easy to use. The blade is sharp and cuts paper cleanly and precisely, even when cutting multiple sheets at once. The base is stable and makes the cutting process safe and comfortable. I use it regularly for different projects, and it saves me a lot of time. The quality is very good for the price. Do not buy!!

Pieces not all received, supposed to cut 400 sheets and can barely cut 10 with out the stack shifting will pulling the handle down. Would not recommend at all!!!

Great Cutter!

I use this heavy-duty paper cutter to cut paper to size for notepads. It works beautifully and cuts multiple sheets accurately. This is a major time saver for me!

Does not work

I received a different model than advertise which has a magnetic bar instead of the fixing device thats in the manual of my own machine. I've seen other reviews where people have been told this is the new model, but this mechanism simply doesn't work as it moves quite easily. Most importantly, it doesn't cut properly. The cuts aren't clean and if you add the fact that it's hard to get a straight cut due to the lack of a fixed device, it means it's not fit for purpose. Waste of money.

Not as Advertised

I purchased this specific 17" Heavy Duty Paper Cutter because the arm extender shown in the listing was connected to the base. I specifically did not want a magnetic extender, so that feature was a major reason I chose this model over other options. The cutter I received did not match what was advertised and instead came with a magnetic extender. When I contacted the brand, I was essentially told that they had changed the design and that this is simply how the product is made now. If the design has changed, the product listing, photos, and description should be updated to accurately show what customers will receive. I would not have purchased this model if the listing had shown a magnetic extender. It is frustrating to buy based on a specific advertised feature, receive something different, and then be told the design changed after the fact. Very disappointing experience with both the product listing and the way the issue was handled.

Poorly manufactured

Bought it for my wife and it doesn’t make straight cuts, the red striking plate sticks up past the deck so you have to lift whatever you cut over it, the plastic alignment arm doesn’t line up with the lines on the deck and every time you cut more than one sheet the blade forces all of the sheets to move closer to the other crooked arm that the plastic alignment arm is attached too, will be figuring out how to return this item

Satisfaisant, malgré quelques petits défauts

J'ai bien reçu le colis en temps et en heure, mais par contre j'ai été un peu surprise et déçue de l'avoir reçu avec un presse-papier différent de celui sur la photo... Et lors de la découpe, il ne coupe pas toute la rame, même en ayant resserré les vis à fond (en suivant le tutoriel). Je suis obligée de mettre un carton épais comme base pour que la lame coupe toute la rame, mais ce ne sont que de petits détails, je reste tout de même satisfaite !

Voor mij een ramp!

Ik hoop dat het alleen mijn snijder is. Maar het lukt me niet om elke keer een stapeltje van 4 tot 10 mm A3 goed te snijden. Elke keer moet ik weer de stelschroeven afstellen. Verder hoe strak ik ook de aandruk plaat vast zet op het papier het blijft richting de zij liniaal schuiven met als gevolg dat ik vrijwel altijd een vervelende duw vouw in het papier krijg. Verder is de uitvoering anders dan de afbeeldingen in de handleiding en de site!

Péssima experiência

Não gostei nada do produto, pois não atende as minhas necessidades. A base aonde serve de trabalho para o papel não é como a da foto é um ferro com íman que não trás nenhuma estabilidade. A linha de guia de corte mal se vê. Produto extremamente caro para o que ele oferece.

Not as precise as you would like

The tracking device is not the same as what you see on the website. Instead, it is a big magnet that keeps moving while trying to get precise measurements. Had I known, I would have bought something else that gave me more precision. It does cut through a lot of paper though. Then again, the safety device that keeps the handle in the air is not doing its job of blocking the handle from falling. Lower quality than expected.

Fast but incorrect

Super quick delivery, haven’t used it yet because it was delivered improperly. I didn’t receive the guillotine in the photo that has the crank for the paper holder but rather a flimsy magnetic one that, based on other reviews, doesn’t hold. It’s my first time ordering from the brand, and I have to say I have massive mixed feelings given that I was happy with the speed of delivery but I didn’t get what I ordered. Update: I’ve used the guillotine about for about 15-20 cuts and now the handle for the pressure plate to hold the paper still is completely seized and I can’t seem to get anyone at the brand to assist me and how to unseize it. Severely upset and disappointed with this experience so far. They also said they have discontinued the crank version to hold the paper in alignment and only do the magnetic one now as an FYI to future buyers. Second update: Been going back and forth with support now and told me to use a rod to get leverage to turn the seized handle (which I already told them I did). Then sent a video of them using a hammer to do so, so I used my own hammer to try and do exactly what they did and snapped the handle right off. I am infuriated at this purchase and the support. I…

Within 2x use the blade was blunt, the black plastic calibration bar wiggles 5mm in all directions so cutting is also very vague.

Not as shown

I am very disappointed in this product! It has been delivered not as shown. It does not have an adjustable, locking paper bar as shown in the picture. Instead, it has a plastic angle with round magnets on one side to attached to the base of the cutter. This angle will easily move allowing paper to be cut at different unintended lengths

Guillotine style paper-cutters have been mostly priced out of reach for people who occasionally need to chop paper accurately. This well-build, heavy and accurate paper cutter is accessible. I love it. I use it to cut paper to make pads. My only tiny complaint is that it is in metric and not imperial units and uses the "A" size standard for markings. Whatever, I can figure it out. It saves me a trip to the local print shop now! I love it.

Perfekt resultat, enkel att använda.

Fungerar alldeles perfekt. snitten blir mycket fina och det är väldigt enkelt att skära i en tjock hög papper. Jag har inte testat med fler än 30-40 papper, mer än så har jag inte behov av. Rekommenderas varmt, jag skulle absolut köpa igen.

No tiene precisión ninguna

La máquina tiene buena capacidad de corte pero a nivel estructural no está bien montada, es imposible alinear la cuchilla, la guía no tiene 90 grados, y la pieza prensa no ejerce presión homogénea a lo largo del taco, según avanza el corte se desplaza el taco hacia afuera dañando todo el material. Intenté hacer los ajustes con la llave Alen pero realmente la construcción deja mucho que desear. Las hojas finales solo las corta hasta la mitad lo que demuestra que es inalienable. Incluso probando a realizar una mayor presión se ha doblado el eje y no he conseguido mantener la alineación en el proceso de corte. Una pena, la máquina prometía y es pesada por lo que inicialmente parece robusta....pero no. También apuntar que tiene una deformación de la base y tuve que calzarla en una esquina. En fin, entiendo que ha sido barata pero realmente no me ha sido útil.

Paper Cutter

This is an excellent quality mini-guillotine for the price. The handle to lower the guard to keep the paper in place is a bit awkward, but I have zero problem making my own considering what I paid for this cutter. The box arrived crushed and with actual holes in it (it looked like a heavier box had fallen onto it in shipping), but the cutter was so well packed that it was not damaged at all. The alignment is perfect, the blade cuts well, overall I am very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it! (I use my cutter for trimming down paper blocks for journals, cutting stacks of sheets for labels, backer cards, etc)

Works exactly how I want it to. It is ready to use out of the box with minimal assembly required. It took a few tries and adjustments before I got it to a point I was happy with but once I got to that point it was smooth sailing. It cuts so cleanly like a hot knife through butter. Just need to be mindful of clamping your paper well else it will slide into the guide piece. Although the cut will still be clean, it will be uneven. If you are cutting too much paper in one go, some of the pages at the verry bottom get torn at the corners. Not a deal breaker, just reduce the amount of paper to around 200 to 250 pages. It can still cut over that but that is the number that I am comfortable with. Very happy with my purchase.

Practical and well laid out

The working surface has clear guides and enough room to align the stack properly. Once adjusted, the cutter produces neat, repeatable results.

Bond

It does it's job. I have a couple suggestions for manufacturer to improve this product: 1. Removable handle: hangle is made from metal. Place where you connect this handle to the cutter is also made from metal(black pained). Every time when I use it. because of force some pain is scratches and drops on the paper. Please, add plastic elements between the metal surfaces. I fixed this using polyethylen bag fragment. 2. I couldn't find ininstruction how to adjust/replace the blade. 3. We would really appreciate to have some marking where blade will make a cut, currently every time we are literally guessing :D. Delivery very fast!!!

Ive had semi auto guillotines all thru the years and I havent been able to source one since moving back to ireland that ive liked so I took a chance on this. its great, easy to use, blade is consistent and cuts thru reams of paper easily. perfect for now as a small print shop. not suitable for a pro print shop but perfect for my present needs

Z'n prijs waard

Pas in gebruik. Montage is supersimpel. Eerste proefnemingen geven een "nice and crisp cut". Zwakke punt is de plastic, verplaatsbare papierstop die te flexibel blijft. Remedie: stop goed haaks zetten en ondersteunen met een latje of wat ook maar dat je vast zet met een lijmtang. Ondanks dat je de stapel voor het snijden vast zet met het mechanisme vlak voor het mes, heb je die stop wel nodig omdat, bij het snijden van een flinke stapel de onderkant de neiging heeft om "weg te lopen". Verder dik tevreden met mijn guillotine. Voor die prijs zeker een aanrader.

Papier snijder A4

Ik was op zoek naar een papiersnijder, die meer dan 30 of 50 vel 80 grams aankon! Bij het merk vond ik verschillende, maar de A4 snijder voor 400 vel leek mij de beste voor het doel! Mijn doel: het op maat snijden van mijn zelfgemaakte tekenboekjes! De prijs was ook goed! Heb hem al menig keer gebruikt en hij voldoet aan alle verwachtingen! Zelfs het mes en het rode snijstrook zijn makkelijk in onderhoud! Echte aanrader voor de kleine producent of enthousiaste doehetzelver!

Handig voor mijn werkruimte

De snijder staat stabiel op de tafel en is eenvoudig af te stellen. Ik kan meerdere vellen netjes op hetzelfde formaat snijden.

Perfectionist Hobbyist

Product *works* out of the box, instructions were simple to follow, didnt actually need them to use. Safety mechanism failed within days, but that does not stop the tool from working. still functions as a cutter. Issues: 1. The fence that comes pre-installed on the base of the machine is not square to the cutting blade or the printed grid on the tool so cuts are never truly square, and this cant be adjusted as the fence sits in pre cut slots and the bolts are only there to lock it down. 2. The cutting stick that sits under the blade sits proud of the level of the base. so when the paper is sitting flat on the base of the machine, the edge being cut is slightly raised up. so once the cut has been made, if cutting "blocks" of paper, the cut is not vertically square as the paper has been skewed up. There are adjustment bolts that screw in underneath the rubber, but even backed all the way out/removed, it still sits proud. Overall the product is functional. If you are a hobbyist and don't need millimeter perfect angles/cuts, its perfectly adequate. But thats about as far it goes. Adequate.

Papiersnijder

Loeischerp apparaat wat met gemak door 400 kopieën snijd haarscherpe snijkant. Enige negatief geluid mijnerzijds is dat het moeilijk te bepalen is waar het mes precies gaat snijden. Is moeilijk te zien begin is gokken en een manier vinden. Heb maar mallen gemaakt. Eenvoudige gebruiksaanwijzing had uitgebreider gemogen. Maar goed voor de prijs ben ik tevreden.

Enttäuschung, die Schnittqualität ist miserabel!

Ich würde dieses Gerät nicht für den professionellen Einsatz empfehlen. Die Qualität ist extrem schlecht; es erfüllt einfach nicht seinen Zweck. Ich habe das A3-Format gekauft. Beim Schneiden eines A4-Blatts beträgt der Fehler bereits 1,5–2 Millimeter. Wie Sie auf dem Foto sehen können, habe ich Streifen mit den Maßen 40 x 297 mm geschnitten, und je länger das Material, desto größer wird der Fehler. Außerdem knittert das Papier gnadenlos. Dieses Gerät ist für ein Spielzeug zu teuer und für professionelle Zwecke überhaupt nicht geeignet.

It's ok for that money

I’m not completely satisfied with this knife. The cutting is not as precise as it should be, and one part of the blade doesn’t cut all the way through, which I had to adjust myself. Paper can sometimes slip under the guard (or guide), which affects the accuracy of the cut. The knife is quite solid and feels sturdy at first, giving the impression of a high-quality tool. However, for the type of work it’s intended for—where every millimeter matters—it really should be much more precise.

Kaputtes Teil geliefert

Lieferung ist heute angekommen, pünktlich. Schachtel weist keine Beschädigungen auf. Beim Aufstellen fällt auf, dass die Schneidemaschine nicht gerade steht und wackelt. Jetzt fehlt doch bei der hinteren Ecke der Fuss, die Ecke ist verbogen und es sieht nach einem Sturzschaden aus. In der Schachtel befinden sich keinerlei Bruchteile des Fusses. Der schützende Sagex war vorhanden. Es sieht so aus, als ob beim Verpacken in China das Teil auf den Tisch geknallt ist, den Fuss verlohren hat und trotzdem eingepackt und verschifft wurde. Da staunt der Laie und der Fachmann wundert sich...

Très bonne qualité, pratique, efficace.

Matériel lourd mais très efficace, la prise en main est simple, l'usage pragmatique. Il aurait été judicieux d'ajouter une languette de réception de lame sous le papier, c'est sans doute une partie consommable, à voir dans le temps. Comme le montre la photo, quelques particules noires tombent du manche à chaque usage à cause des frottements entre le tube métallique et le levier de rotation qui a l'air revêtu d'une couche souple qui s'effrite, sans gravité pour le résultat final. Je n'ose pas couper 400 feuilles d'un coup mais près d'une centaine de feuilles 80g/m2, ça passe assez bien :) en espérant que le tranchant de la lame dure et qu'il ne soit pas trop complexe d'affuter convenablement la lame usée par le temps. En tout cas, pour du semi-pro manuel, je recommande ce produit. Une dernière remarque, le format B5 (celui que j'utilise) a bien une ligne repère en 182mm mais pas en 257mm, bizarre ! Pas de chance pour moi, je dois sortir mes lunettes pour ajuster ce paramètre alors qu'il y a largement la place sur le plateau pour renseigner cette ligne... Note : 4,4

I could not use this for my projects. Couldn't return it either. Cuts are unaligned and the cutter is too big for my work space.

Qualité qui laisse à désirer

Très lourd donc on suppose du matériel de bonne qualité, mais pas de notice de montage, je n’ai donc pas su comment monter la protection bleue, et l’ai jetée à la poubelle car impossible de comprendre comment l’attacher au reste. Ensuite, la coupe n’était pas bonne au départ, il a fallu que je l’utilise quelquefois pour que la lame s’affûte un peu et coupe mieux. Enfin, à chaque coupe, le levier frotte contre une autre partie et la peinture du levier s’écaille, ce qui laisse des résidus noirs de peinture sur le plan de travail à chaque utilisation. La cale en plastique censée bloquer le papier en place ne colle pas complètement à la partie métallique, il y a un espace, ce qui fait que les feuilles en dessous de la pile passent en dessous de la cale. Si l’on ne vérifie pas avant de couper, on se retrouve à avoir des feuilles qui ne sont pas coupées à la même taille que celles du dessus.
