this machine is a very well built heavy duty sewer machine, less than fifteen minutes to unpack and put together for use. instruction manual was a complete failure. they could do better with it . but you only have to install wheels and handle. used on the main sewer in the house and it worked as designed . very strong motor and over all very well built for the price.this would be a very good tool for a rental property owner.

Having it at hand when needed.

Had this over a year, maybe 2, and it has saved me over thousand dollars in plumbing fees. At 300 and over per visit, it's paid for itself. Had a new basement bathroom put in a few years ago. The pipe flow to the other house discharge to waste kept backing up. This auger ,unlik a Herold one I have, has a foot feed which will stop the machine when not depressed. Very important. With my old machine, operation by yourself was dangerous. Get your glove,shirt sleeve caught in the cable, you have only seconds to try and shut it off. Been there, one hand being wrapped in cable another grabbing for the off switch or pulling the electrical connection out. You also get several heads to go on . I would like to see the 2 chain head cleaner added. This auger works on kitchen sink drains, 2 and 3 in. pipes, and 4in toilet drain piping. Do yourself a favor, this is a tool ever home owner should have. Some tools are worth owning yourself, and this is one of them. Get the 100 ft cable, just incase you would ever need it. OH! Remember, weekend calls to a plumber charge more. Happy drains to you.

Head broke off in first 30 minutes of use

Bought this to replace a Hydrostar Drain Monster. First use it did great, went in very smooth without any issues and within 30 minutes cleared a difficult grease/food clog without much issue that I had spent more than 10 hours trying to clear with the Hydrostar. I was very happy. The problem was when I pulled it out and discovered that the head broke off somewhere in the drain pipe. Now I have a much bigger problem than a clogged drain. I had made sure the screw was attached very tightly and didn’t run into much resistance so I don’t get it. I had used the Hydrostar well over 50 hours over the past 5 years and never had this problem. Very disappointing. Needs a better way to secure the head than a tiny screw that apparently backs out or shears off easily.

Drain Cleaner Machine Pluses and Minuses

Putting the components together was a bit of a challenge as the manual was a bit of a mess. Many sentences throughout the manual were cut off half way through the sentence leaving us wondering what information we were missing. Terms were used which didn't seem like the correct term to be using. We sought out a video for how to put the unit together and all we found was a 28 second video which left out most of the details. A couple of mistakes were made putting the unit together which had to be corrected later. Details and insights on how to use and how to interpret and learn from the process of using the machine were lacking. There was a fair amount of trial and error and wasted time. I spent many hours on a single job but I did manage to complete the job. There were times when a separate camera/scope unit would have been helpful having during the process to check out potential blockages and to possibly retrieve a broken bit that fell off the cable. Cable jams occurred which might have been avoided with guidance that should be included in the manual and a video (with how to prevent and how to resolve information). I bought this unit to clear a 4" drain pipe that was clogged tight at about 55'. It took a bit of time to chew through the packed hair & debris, but this machine didn't disappoint. It was powerful, easy to operate and saved me more on the first use than a plumber was going to cost. Im living off-grid and very remote, so calling in a service tech is nearly a non-option. The build quality is very good. Assembly was easy. This was a sound investment for me. I'd highly recommend this product 👌 👍 😊

A heavy duty pro system

So I made a mistake with this, I thought it was a small household snake, and since we have old plumbing that sometimes gives us trouble I figured this would be good to have on hand. This is so much bigger, and more powerful, honestly I am afraid to try this on our old plumbing, so I will be having a friend who has experience help me with it. This is very large and definitely a pro system. It has a 100 foot snake, and will definitely get most any job done.

The cable feeds smoothly through drain lines, making it a great investment for tackling sink, shower, and sewer line clogs yourself. It’s easy to use and works extremely well. The auto‑feed function performs flawlessly—both feeding the cable into the plumbing and pulling it back into the drum. The motor has plenty of power to cut through roots and stubborn blockages. It cleared the drain quickly, and the cost was far lower than hiring a plumber or renting equipment. I used to rely on those cheap hand‑crank snakes, wasting entire Saturdays fighting with them and getting nowhere. This machine is a completely different experience—faster, stronger, and genuinely effective.

No need to call a professional

Motorized Drain Cleaner Auger This drain auger is a great addition to your home. Plumbers are so expensive, and I think this can handle pretty much anything major that you’d need to call a plumber for. One time purchase, no more service calls! It comes on an attached dolly with wheels, for easy transportation to where you need it. There is a handy foot switch for hands free on and off. The motor does the work for you. It has a forward and a reverse, so you don’t have to push it in or pull it out by hand. The cable is very thick and sturdy. It’s also a solid cable instead of a spring. You can see how much cable is left in the unit through viewing gaps. This cable is a solid 75 feet. That should be long enough to even get rural buried pipes between the house and the septic tank. It comes with a bunch of different ends for different jobs. You won’t want to use cheap plastic gloves with this, so I would recommend buying your own thick and waterproof gloves for the problem. I think this is a great idea to have on hand to avoid bank-breaking service calls.

Powerful works great

Very impressed with this drain cleaning machine. It has plenty of power and works great at clearing out stubborn clogs. It feels sturdy and gets the job done much easier than trying to clear a drain by hand. Definitely a useful tool to have around the house.

Easy to use

Every year I have to clear the roots out of my sewer pipe. For the past several years I gave had to borrow or rent one. So owning my own will definitely come in handy. It was easy to assemble, and not a lot of instructions. I feel the instructions could be better detailed as one step was 'attach the plastic piece' There are online assembly instructions with pictures that I suggest you look at prior to assembly. You will need a 13mm socket and wrench to complete assembly. I am pretty impressed with the quality and value of this machine. I chose the 100' line as this will be most effective for cleaning out the roots from my house to the cities line. This drain auger is more durable and heavy duty than the ones I have rented from major department stores. Cable snapped to easy

Purchased August 10, 2026. Used it to clean a 6" downspout line about 75' long worked great. The next day went to clean a 3" floor drain line and got in about 35' did not feel any binding or any thing and then it snapped inside the drum. Can't get the cable to move. The cable snapped way to easy, didn't feel any resistance on the cable or binding. Big disappointment, not very happy

Been waiting to actually use it, gotta say this works quite well. Instructions are a little ummm vague but quickly easy to figure out if you passed the 6th grade. Now that got to finally use it. I’ll never use the crappy home depot one again, those open drums sling all that gunk every where and the cable on the home depot ones have been absolutely used and abused. This has a reinforced center cable making it more durable. 1/2” is more than sufficient for getting roots and wipes and things out of the main line without potentially breaking the pipes up to 4” which is relatively standard. Just buy it..honestly worth it, dont have to rent the crappy home depot ones ever again. Did i mention it’s automatic? Like c’mon! Less mess less stress
