Horrible experience. It was my first purchase through the brand. The original postage estimate was 4 days. That's the reason I bought it. When I paid it extended to 7 days. That was still ok but I was moving house so it needed to be delivered before I left. I called couriers please. They are liars and wouldn't tell me the name of the depot so I could ask them to hold it and I could pick it up from there. The lady who took my call said you need to get the brand to redirect. The brand refused to redirect it. I called couriers please again and asked for the couriers details. They said we can't tell you because of our privacy policy. I looked up there privacy policy and it actually said the opposite of what they were saying. It said they will be transparent in regards to your parcels position and status. So after being lied to I called back again and asked to make a complaint and then he called me a liar. He referred to the privacy policy which I had just read. So between unwillingness to help and couriers please crap policies and useless call centre staff I have made the decision to never shop with these guys again.

Easy to use for resin casting.

I use this for degassing resin for dice making and other projects. It works very well. Some other users mentioned sealing problems. This is easy to fix. Keep the rubber seal clean and lightly press down on it after starting the pump. The vacuum gauge should start climbing immediately. Holds vacuum well. You can shut off the pump and close the valves and it will maintain without loss. Recommend doing to save wear on the pump. Also always monitor pump oil levels and it will last a long time.

Leaks are hard to stop. Nice yet disappointing

The pump itself is fine and pulls a great vacuum once you get a seal. That is the problem and it's a big one. First, the steel pot seems really good but there are pinhole at all points where the handles are tacked on. After applying a lot of sealant it was possible to stop that leak. BUT this was after finally getting the top to seal. There are two types of seals provided and I tried every combination. I went to the internet and it said this s a problem with that unit. I finally put a thin film of Vaseline per suggestion on the rim and pressed down all over the lid perimeter with my full weight. It did eventually seal and, after the handle pinholes were fixed, pulled a great vacuum.. I use it for degassing resin and it works well once a seal is achieved but more than once, I have had to bypass the degass due to cure time. It could be so much better.

I purchased this a few months ago and tested it and it ran fine. I used this for the first time to stabilise timber knife handles it ran hot (65 degrees) and noisy lasted 24 hours then tripped out, now it won’t run. Not happy

The 5 gal. vac chamber and pump arrived in very good condition as it was very well packed. Very impressed with the quality of both the chamber and the vac pump. Initially had trouble pulling a vacuum on the chamber but decided it was due to the lid not sealing tight which was remedied by clamping the lid down. Have not had any problems pulling a vacuum since. In the description, It should be emphasized that a tempered glass lid is required if stabilizing wood as a plastic lid will deteriorate over time due to the fumes coming off the solution. Also, it would be nice if the brand would offer vacuum oil and an oil collection filter for the pump exhaust in their extensive list of products.

Epoxy resin vacuum chamber

I bought this vacuum chamber for my wife, she's been doing a lot of epoxy and it had a lot of bubbles in it so I invested in this vacuum chamber. It works very well. Mix it up put it in, turn it on and let it sit there for about 10 minutes after it gets to full vacuum. The lid is nice and sturdy, The pot is nice and sturdy.. It really is a nice setup and for the price point you can't beat it

Worked perfect

This worked great out of the box. Actually really good quality and good quality fittings the pump is good. I have had it hold vacume for 5 days without loosing any.

Great value

Heavy pot and lid with thick silicon seals, easy to assemble. Clear instructions. Ive stabilized wood and make denim micarta so far. Couldn't be more pleased.

Vac Kit is Full of Features

I have been pleased with my vacuum kit. The pump reaches full negative pressure in the 5-gallon chamber quickly, and the stout glass lid and silicone seals perform well. I will eventually use my kit for epoxy degassing, vacuum chucking on my CNC, and with the addition of a few components, needle-vacuuming the microphone ports on my hearing aids!
