Motorized Drain Cleaner Auger This drain auger is a great addition to your home. Plumbers are so expensive, and I think this can handle pretty much anything major that you’d need to call a plumber for. One time purchase, no more service calls! It comes on an attached dolly with wheels, for easy transportation to where you need it. There is a handy foot switch for hands free on and off. The motor does the work for you. It has a forward and a reverse, so you don’t have to push it in or pull it out by hand. The cable is very thick and sturdy. It’s also a solid cable instead of a spring. You can see how much cable is left in the unit through viewing gaps. This cable is a solid 75 feet. That should be long enough to even get rural buried pipes between the house and the septic tank. It comes with a bunch of different ends for different jobs. You won’t want to use cheap plastic gloves with this, so I would recommend buying your own thick and waterproof gloves for the problem. I think this is a great idea to have on hand to avoid bank-breaking service calls.

Powerful works great

Very impressed with this drain cleaning machine. It has plenty of power and works great at clearing out stubborn clogs. It feels sturdy and gets the job done much easier than trying to clear a drain by hand. Definitely a useful tool to have around the house.

Easy to use

Every year I have to clear the roots out of my sewer pipe. For the past several years I gave had to borrow or rent one. So owning my own will definitely come in handy. It was easy to assemble, and not a lot of instructions. I feel the instructions could be better detailed as one step was 'attach the plastic piece' There are online assembly instructions with pictures that I suggest you look at prior to assembly. You will need a 13mm socket and wrench to complete assembly. I am pretty impressed with the quality and value of this machine. I chose the 100' line as this will be most effective for cleaning out the roots from my house to the cities line. This drain auger is more durable and heavy duty than the ones I have rented from major department stores. This is a good value drain machine but please know it is not your "forever" machine. meaning if you use it a lot and for tough jobs it won't last forever. But at this price it easily pays for itself, and you can always purchase a replacement and still not have spent the big bucks larger models cost.

Solid product

Exactly as expected. Needed a 1/2" auger to clear a house drain. Didn't want to keep paying plumber $100s to do it. This has already paid for itself. Perfect? No. But for the price and functionality, it meets my needs. Very good product and would recommend. Easy to setup and use. Came with gloves (kind of low grade, but useful) and a double set of bits.

Works great

Lightweight and portable, but yet rugged enough to do the job. Not unique to this item, but be sure to manually reload snake cable. Using drums reverse mode will most probably result in a twisted snake - it did for me. Recommend for price and quality.

I need to regularly clear a badly laid grey water 4" drain pipe which collects fat and fibres in some low lying sections. Previous use of manually manipulated snakes worked, but took a lot of effort, requiring working from both ends. This machine worked very well and cleared the blockage within minutes using the small olive to get around tight bends. A careful watch on progress with judicious use of the reverse gear setting (not the reverse motor) made it straight forward. I tried a less suitable cutting head which was not able to negotiate the bends, and that caused some tortion issues, so for twisty drains, stick to the olives and only try others if they don't work.

Drain snake 75’ should have bought this before the big name one!

Honestly I really like the product and it has more options then the bigger name brands out there runs really smooth !! For the price you can’t go wrong ! Don’t talk on it if you haven’t tried it !

Honest opinion

Ok, as a licensed plumber here’s my honest opinion. If you’re curious on what to compare this to, it’s almost the same machine as the blue eel machine ! The ad says 2-6” pipe can be snaked with 1/2” cable but it’s really 2-4” . If you have a severe root issue I would not cable your sewer. The engine is surprisingly strong! It has forward neutral and reverse, the clutch is very smooth ,honestly it’s smoother than my spartan 100 and I’m not lying! I cabled a 75ft drain and it opened it with no kinks or issues, if you’re not familiar on how to resolve cable kinks BE CAREFUL! The drum is just as solid as any other machine on the market. The cable itself seems to be as good as the eel not as strong as the spartan ,however if you purchase a stronger cable from spartan it will fit and work! I gave 4 stars cause the pedal is not high quality at all it’s very cheap ,don’t the power cord. So overall for the price you can’t beat it! Only time will tell how long it will work for but for the price WHO CARES!!!

Dream machine

This was packaged very well. The delivery people threw this thing all over, the box and styrofoam were badly beat but the product was not damaged. I read the directions which helped a lot. A couple of years ago I rented Home Depot auger and worked on the drain for about six hours. The auger from the Depot twisted all the time it was a battle to clean the drain. I set this unit up the same as I did for the rented unit. This thing was a DREAM to use. Once it got started down the drain it was smooth sailing just cleaned. Without pushing the unit hard (like I had to for the rented one) I took my time and just let it work. I was done in about hour. Don’t use the gloves they supply as they will get caught in the auger as you feed just use leather Gardner gloves worked great.
