i wish i knew how many holes i have drilled in electrical boxes (and things of that type) over the years. the stepped drills help speed that up, but the clean up (remember this is electrical and you don't want metal filings in there, was a bummer. use a magnet, now the filings off that....ya, been there with this device, drill a small pilot hole and put your punch in. make the hole. need a larger pilot, drill the small hole, make a smaller punch for the larger pilot, and do this twice for the larger hole needed considerations are this, where the wire comes into the box to allow for stiffer wire to make the connection, very true on 1 AGW as i know from experience, and the size of your connecting hardware. remember it has an outside diameter and to allow for that when selecting where to put the holes. there is a satisfying sound as the metal cuts.....magic to your ears, and you have very little clean up with a magnet and two large (sharp) metal flanges to discard.... you are going to do well with this tool. no complaints, however i could use a good trencher.

This thing is great. I've used the manuals ones with wrenches and their is no comparison. Hands down this beats and hole punch for electrical work I have used. It is a little cumbersome as it is bulky and heavy. However that is far outweighed in ease at which it punches through a electrical box. No fiddling with wrenches and the odd angles they work at. No struggling / muscling, just a few pumps and its through, clean cut, the slug comes right out no prying. Well worth the money

This thing is amazing. Im an electrician and got tired of burning through hole saws cutting panels. I found this and for the price I couldnt pass it up. Totally worth the buy. Ive used each size and have punched many holes and they still work great.

I bought it mainly because of the price. It worked a couple of times but after a while it started blocking while punching holes. The feedback received from product support suggested hitting the unit head against a solid surface for a couple of times. It worked but the problem appeared again after a while. Despite the technical specs the set is not suitable for punching holes in stainless steel metal sheets (tried 1.5-2mm thickness). I definitely cannot recommend it for professional use.

For the price, I tried this out instead of buying a Greenlee one. It has been used on many jobs, and no one has complained about a lack of performance compared to our other one.

Need practice and spacer

Good for the price. I’d practice first before actual punch. Need to add spacer using existing other rings or else it will exceed travel distance of the puncher

Our team is very happy with this knockout set. We’ve used it to make many holes in different sizes, and it’s still sharp and performing well.

Beware misleading markings

Markings is written referencing EMT conduit size, not actual hole diameter, so the set written 2" will punch a 2.5" hole... ask me how I know.

Heavy, heavy duty, excellent tool.

I was shocked as to how heavy it is. Very easy to setup, and quickly cuts through panel walls. It should last a number of years, and takes the slack out of knockouts. Most importantly it leaves the holes clean without burs. If I have the room, I'll not be using the provided knockouts again pre-install.

The hydraulic punch is a great value. I punched holes into 20 gauge cold rolled steel to make a few A/C bulkhead plates. Worked flawlessly! No distortion or rough edges. Goodbye metal hole saw!

Excellent quality, Heavy duty

This kit is well worth the money. Heavy duty cutting dies up to 4”. The 31/2” and 4” knockout dies alone will cost you about a $100 if bought separately. Kit arrived in a small packing crate, each die individually wrapped in plastic/foam. A lot easier to use than a hole saw and definitely much safer. Kit is heavy as weighs about 60lbs.

Good item, I would need aditional dies in mm sizes, the tool would need knurling on the handle, all in all it is a money well spent.

This has been a great set. As others have said, it would be better if there were swivel fittings but not the end of the world. Having never used one in the past I didn't realize the punch size is based on the size of the pipe, not the actual hole size. I ended up cutting a larger hole than needed. Still a great set.

I_e had this knock out set for about a month and half and use it everyday and I have to say so far so good it hasn_ let me down it works very good. Sizes on the dice come in metric but there actual standard so don_ get confused when you purchase and receive it. For the price you can_ beat it! Ten times better than using the greenlee ratchet..
