Easy to fill, able to put a whole bag of feed in it and feed distributes nicely to each opening. Great for a vacation set up and everyday use. Chickens love it! Support stand is not high enough, kind of useless. There is way to much wastage.

The chicken feeder is surprisingly good. Easy to assemble with all tools provided. The chooks learned how to use it within a day! And it's still working flawlessly a few weeks later. I'd say worth the money.

If You Have Rats, Buy This Feeder

If you have a rat problem, this feeder is a great bargain. It has done an excellent job of keeping my chicken feed away from rats. Its made of steel, so rats will not be able to chew through it. It will also protect the feed from rain. Are chickens afraid of it at first? Yes, but they can be trained. The easiest method is to prop the lid open and let them eat from it for a few days. Then, tape or glue a few mealworms to the lid. When they peck at the worms, the lid opens, and they quickly learn how it works. Mine figured it out within a few days. One minor complaint is that a few of the metal edges are a little sharp. I covered those spots with duct tape, and that solved the problem. Considering the price and how well it keeps feed away from rats, its an amazing find!

Great feeder for the price

I was looking for a chicken feeder. We previously bought the screwable ones made of plastic that you can install on a pail. There was a lot of waste on the ground. With this one, we thought it couldn’t be worse, but it ended up being way better than we thought. The food dispenser is well made and the grains it don’t get stuck in the middle of it where the birds can’t reach. Not the highest quality on the market, but for the price, it remains a way better option than using a pail. I would recommend it.

The product is good, product is great. The only enhancement I would recommend is adding sealant to the seems before putting the box together. Not a negative on the product but water will naturally seep in if it’s outside in the elements.

Great for bantams too

I've got smaller bantams and they fit right in. The port size is perfect for their little heads.
