The lathe vibrates too much to center the piece. Nothing works as it should. I wrote to return the part with no response. I do not recommend this. This is not the first time that I buy from the brand and i was always pleased with the quality of their products in the past. With the lack of response from the company, I do not believe I will order from them again.

Works great for making small light wood items.

Fun little machine, not very powerful it just uses a small 550 motor and has little torque and relies on speed,you will need to come up with something better to hold your work into the collet as the little dremel bit they includes strips wood the second you touch the work with the chisel,i also made a longer chisel rest as the one included is far to small..but for the money if you just want to make a few small items it works great,ive made a few small items for larger projects using it..

Drechselmaschine war gedacht als Weihnachtsgeschenk – funktioniert allerdings nicht ganz Safe. Trotz fachgerecht am einspannen ist das Holzstück während des Drechselvorgangs meinem Kindern Kopf geflogen. Und das direkt an Weihnachten. Ich habe das Holz selbst eingespannt, war mir sicher, dass es fest ist – allerdings die Konstruktion hält nichts fest und lockert sich

If you're a weaver and use a hand crank to fill your bobbins and spools, this mini lathe cuts the spooling process by 90%! There are electric bobbin fillers available made for weavers, but I didn't want to spend $300. This inexpensive alternative takes a few tries to get used to fitting the bobbin into the contact points, but once you become familiar with it, your hand crank will only gather dust.

fun and useful

ive had this lathe almost 2 years so this is a long review and i absolutely love this lil lathe i have turned many things from super hardwood to cork and it always preforms ... about 1 year in i dropped the power supply and broke it and since then ive just been using a 90w 19v non adjustable power supply from my old laptop it.. the turning tools will do on soft stuff but the blades are thin and they bounce introducing a less than desirable finish.. i just bought a a better set of wood chisels just like the ones that came with it .. the solid tool they send thats smaller and thicker is great but dulls fast and needs careful sharpening to be put back in service ... i would buy again and again its perfect for the small trinket makers and the person whos not sure they want to get into wood turning this makes a great cheap way to dip your toes ... i use it to turn corks for old bottles and muzzle plugs for my blackpower rifles along with screw driver handles i bought a long bit set and made my own wooden screw driver set .. buy it you wont be sorry... also as far as mounting i just slap it in my vice and give her a snugging and turn away...

Ich bin mit dem Kauf insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Ich bin kein Drechsler-Profi und wollte das Ganze einfach mal als kleine Spielerei ausprobieren – genau dafür ist das Set perfekt geeignet. Die Lieferung kam schnell an und war ordentlich verpackt. Das Gerät selbst läuft wirklich gut und macht genau das, was es soll. Für den Preis kann man absolut nicht meckern. Klar, die mitgelieferten Werkzeuge sind eher einfach und wirken etwas billig. Aber ganz ehrlich: Für den Preis ist das völlig in Ordnung. Normalerweise kosten solche Werkzeuge allein schon mehr als hier die komplette Maschine mit dem ganzen Set. Für Einsteiger oder zum Ausprobieren kann ich das Set daher auf jeden Fall empfehlen. Ich bin zufrieden und habe bisher viel Spaß damit.

Great Quality

I bought it specifically to remove pennies from stubborn Plastic coin tubes that have shrunk around the edges of the coins and made it nearly impossible to remove the pennies. This lathe has helped me solve the problem 👍

Need to fasten it to the table somehow. The support for the chisel.is too small. But it works for small wooden things.. and there was a sander and small table saw included too!

Even a smal lath it works for jobs in tender wood anf pvc parts. Surprisingly I tried it with exotic very hard wood and it worked! Not abusing the size of it, of course!

Ayant acquis cette petite machine il y a quelques semaines, elle est très complète dans ses fonctionnalités. Je l'utilise pour tourner de petits objets. Elle est très pratique, performante, peu encombrante. Pour réaliser de petites et moyennes pièce c'est vraiment le top. J'ai acheté d'autres couteaux pour travailler. Livraison rapide. Excellent little machine. The only thing you will need however is a better Spur center, because the screw that has been supplied to hold the wood is useless.

This unit works

This unit works as advertised. It is a bit weak but it is what was advertised. The motor can be easily replaced with a 550/540 can motor.

As long as it doesn't break within the first week of being able to use it I guess it will be okay. My flex drive grinder internal shaft broke the first time I used it. Been having a tough time with kidney replaced in warranty with this company. Going to give this what a chance I need will determine whether or not I buy anything else from this company.

Everything I expected!!! I'm using it for making wooden rings and it works great for turning them. the only "not so good" is the quality of the turning tools, however i purchased it for the lathe not the tools. I would recommend for it small turning.

I am very happy with this little machine and it's just perfect for making turned stanchions for my model ships. I had never owned or run a lathe before so I was quite surprised at how easy the machine worked and with my fist sample stanchion produced too. It's a great hobby tool and I intend to get a bigger one for turning masts and spars in the near future.

Functional for very small projects; low torque, fixed (unchangeable) headstock with limited strength to hold spindles. There are no accessories available for this unit. Probably a good value for learning or a hobbyist with very low expectations.
