Not as good as they say…

I bought these and they was delivered. I think somewhere around August 6 nevernever used until I got them out the other day to cut some 1 awg copper the ratchet wouldn’t even hold in place long enough to grab the next tooth I had to physically hold them in place. Very poor quality.

They might cut copper wire good but they don’t cut strained cable worthless

I had a tight place to remove 3/4 bx cable that could not access using a saw. I look on line and saw this. I figure for $26.00 dollars its worth the a try. I must confess that the instructions that came with it stinks. Anyway back to the product I wasable. to get it into the area to cut the cable started squeezing the handles and nothing could not see so I move a way for a bit went back and a squeeze the handle so more and I felt the crab a few more squeezes and snap the cable was cut. Outside of the crapy instruction the tool work great was very please with its performance weather I will have need to use it again I don't know but it was worth every penny for it.

Hola. Comprado para cortar cables de batería de 70 mm2. Corta muy bien, pero los brazos de la palanca son un poco cortos y algo más delgados de la cuenta. Le he puesto unos tubos para alargar el mango un poco y para darle mejor agarre. Con los tubos es perfecto, corta el cable de 70 mm2 como la mantequilla .

Much cheaper than the most desirable. Likely wouldn't stand up to daily use for years but for use weekend warriors ...good buy

Excellent looking tool, but then it changed.

Well I must say that straight out of the box I thought wow, good weighted tool, then I gave it a little lube, grabbed a piece of 40mm cabling and it’s really really hard to ratchet your way through. Longer arms on it would make life a lot easier, smaller cabling it’s a bit easier. And I’m not a small guy, so my excitement turned into something a bit sour.

When I pulled them out of the box the handles fell off and I had to re glue them. I will not be purchasing another pair.

These are the best wire cutters on the market, if you buy any others to cut up to 777mcm you are crazy, I’ve had them all and for the price you can’t beat these cutters

Nice cable cutter that one can use one hand to open and pass the regular 10ga in wall power cable. the cut is nice and sharp. I did use other brands and the problem was that one must use both hands to open the tool, that slow down the work. this tool has in the front of the blade a "small" cutter, might be to remove the insulation from the cables. to aim the wire into this is hard, and to press the tool just to cut the insulation is almost impossible

Does the JOB !!

This cutter is ok, not close to the quality of the name brand cutters. I work in the telco industry and had something like this so I thought I would give these a try for home. They do the job they were intended to do but not close to the ones I used at work. I had a feeling they were going to be like that because of the price. These will be good for around the home but do not recommend for industrial use.

Works well

I've used this cutter to help install an electric sailboat motor and totally rewire the boat. I used this cutter to cut all the battery cables that were 1/0 size, and the main cables for the motor that were 2/0, and the main ground which was 3/0 size. I was in a pinch so I also used it to cut some "smurf" flexible conduit. The slicing portion is built really robustly and easy to use, but (unless I have not figured it out) one has to manually rotate the slicer open ( not difficult). The ratcheting portion works well. All cuts have been smooth and easy leaving a nice smooth "crisp" cut surface. I would buy it again.
